I feel the same about TRs. But if I am going to put forth the additional effort of the live TR, I want to know if people are actually reading. @tringlomane also made a good point to me once that writing a TR is a good way to catalog your memories of a trip and look back at later. And every now and then, I do find myself looking at one of my old TRs and having fond memories.

As for significant bets, I can put that on the list, but not sure I will come through. Mainly because my significant bets are rarely planned out in advance. Its usually the result of a snap decision because I am either way up or way down. I have, though, been considering a significant NBA futures bet. Not sure I will make it. Not even sure what the line on it is right now. but if I am up significantly near the end of the trip, I will likely do it and will be happy to write about my thought process on the wager

Well, thankfully my partner pretty much approves of anything I am doing at every moment of the day (that or she hides her shame/frustration/anger very well). But since I am solo for the first part of this trip, that won't be a problem

In fairness @tringlomane is somewhat of a savant. I mean he remembers when he was dealt two pair on JoB and couldn’t convert the full house on the 73rd hand of STP he played at Imperial Palace on the bank of machines by the escalator to Hash House A Go Go on October 30th, 2010. Then he tried to high-five the Stevie Wonder dealertainer and Stevie whiffed.

I would also be interested to hear some details about your betting limits during each session, i.e. average minimum you are betting, average max you are betting, etc. (if you feel comfortable sharing that sort of info).

@UKFanatic - I will definitely follow your live TR, if you end up doing it that way.

You mentioned that you feel you often post about the same things again & again. IMO it doesn’t really matter cuz there is something that is present in every TR that we often overlook, the OP’s personality. Their personality often resonates throughout their TR & usually makes each TR unique.

For example who doesn’t love a TR with an F-bomb laden rant by @luck.ofthe.draw no matter what she is doing or a @jpw711 pocket dump with a random left flip flop on the table. Sorry to single you guys out, but I was trying to make a point.

    Good choice, UK.

    Good choice.

Look forward to it (if you make it to town, anyway).

Some of my trips are repetitive and I don't post. I always appreciate those that can do a live report. Added bonus is that somewhere down the line, maybe years, you will have that available for review. I just recently looked at some of my TRs from 10 years ago on another board, and nice to relive a few things I had forgotten about. I will read your live TR.

I do enjoy @mjames1229 ’s post-trip reports, as they are well written and elegant. I also love the disjointed, drunky live reports too! Personally I could never recall all the details if I did a report after the event. I always learn a little more about how I interact with Vegas when re-reading my live reports and Im already planning on a tweak on how I’ll Vegas next time.

(spoiler: dive visits earlier, before I get too tired!)

If you visit the Talon room I’d love a sneak peek at whatever is allowed - restroom wallpaper, fancy bar offerings, snacks, large denomination chips, views if they have windows, whatever! I’ll never get in there but I’m curious just the same.

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)

Always enjoy your TRs, since most here are slot or VP focused, and I’m a table games player. Chip porn and pics of suites never grow old for me!

If you see signs of life that Amalfi by Bobby Flay is opening in the next few weeks that would be great to know. I just gave up looking on the CP website for 15 minutes for the number of the Caesars Palace concierge to inquire about when the restaurant might open. I really liked MESA Grill and am looking forward to Amalfi, hopefully in early May and if not in July. For months the Amalfi website has been saying it will be open in "late Spring".

No problem. They have let me take pics there in the past, as long as I am not at the tables. My all-time most vegas-y absurd piece of art hangs in there:

Sure. I'm staying in the same suite I stayed in last trip to Cosmo. I will try and snap some pics before I mess it up

I assume its in the same space where Mesa Grill operated. If so, I will swing by and see what I can find out

Yes, it is. Thanks! The place looks absolutely gorgeous. The interior was completely redone. There are lots of Italian restaurants in Vegas but I definitely want to try this one. He and Giada are apparently friends and spent some time together in Italy before Covid hit and she apparently showed him different regions in Italy, including the Amalfi Coast.

I asked my host for the number of the Caesars concierge and she just responded. She said those services haven't yet returned, which is stunning, but it explains why I couldn't find a number. She said the latest is that Amalfi is supposed to open some time in June but I'll be curious to know what you think if you are able to peep in. ;)

I am flying to New Orleans and meeting her in Puerto Rico. Then we are coming back to Canuckistan via Montana. No Covid hotels for this guy.
