    My Trip Report

Here are my observations of my ten days in Vegas, five nights at Fremont and five at CP-
    • Flight coming SFO was empty, flight from SFO to LAS was packed
    • No shuttles at the airport, only cabs, limos and ride share
    • The open hours of most of the restaurants were not to my liking (11-10pm) due to the last of traffic from Covid
    • Boyd properties were the only ones doing temp checks
    • Circa was nice! Sports book was awesome, did not do any wagers there so just went to take a quick loo
    • Circa craps dealers were pricks, pushing you to max bet on your odds, you decline, then the next one pushes you also, the first guys tell the second guys “that’s too much money for him”, walked out a few minutes later.
    • Fremont was a bit too crowded for me, during the busy times, look as if these were preCovid times with the amount of people walking around
    • The smell of weed was everywhere
    • The Cal was dead every time I stepped foot in the casino, probably because of MSS not being open
    • Minimums for craps was $10, up to 15 when got busier (Boyd)

Thanks for posting. I love Hawaii. I hate Hawaiian food. Spam and brown gravy do not make a cuisine, lol. Pineapple and poki, however are two of the saving graces of Hawaiian food exports. Still, I love staying at the California and do so on every trip for some downtown play with a nice room at my disposal. Also, I could eat Lappert's Ice Cream for 3 meals a day every day if my waist would allow it.

As far as I'm concerned, it wouldn't be a Vegas trip without White Castle.

    Five days at CP-
    • CP was packed, the whole strip was pretty busy as well
    • Only three decent wins on the craps tables but far too many losses in between
    • Craps minimums were basically $25, with some $15 here and there
    • It hailed in Vegas for a minute or two
    • It actually dipped into the 40’s on some days
    • Ate at NOBU, Hatchi, Momofuku, Cafe Americano, Yama Sushi (strip, bad choice)
    • Premium Outlet South- quite a few closed businesses and a few more closing or with very little inventory (Sketchers, Van Hussen to name a few)
    • The Forums shops with businesses that have reduced store hours or closed

Thanks for your report! I was on the fence about staying at the Cal (as we usually do every trip), but after reading your report I’m thinking I’m gonna wait until the hours are less restrictive.

First day playing cbb, 1 for 3, s/b 1 for 2 but had to play Hawaii,

    upload_2021-3-16_7-58-32.jpeg
Had to head back to downtown to take my pre travel Covid test, went to Cal, bought in for 500, left with this

Watched some cbb at CP book, basketball cannot draw the crowds like football, too bad as I would’ve hoped that it would draw big crowds to help Vegas rebound, hopefully they’ll show up this weekend!

Put in a bet for the same coworker, I think I should’ve followed him

    upload_2021-3-16_8-40-46.jpeg
Lunch at Johnny Rockets in Bally’s, I think I know why their burgers are so good, they use a brioche bun!

Got to agree on the jerk craps dealers. I've had that happen too. I do the same, color up and move on.
Got one for you re: hail. Live in Seattle and the only place I've ever played golf in the snow was Las Vegas!

Either the first or second time I ever went to Vegas back in the '90s they had some record rainfall and a bunch of streets flooded.

Thanks! As far as Nobus, I'm Japanese so, although the food was good, it was not mind blowing, service I should say was top notch. I used my $100 celebration coupon on this so it wasn't hard on the wallet.

Thanks for the summary and pics. Looks like it will only be a matter of time and Vegas will be back....Sounds like weekends are starting to get busy these days. Like you said it will be good to see how busy the strip is for the 1st round of MM

Thanks for the TR! Nice returns on craps. Seemed like 500 got you ~ 3-4x ROI. What’s your usual style of betting?
