My wife and I looking for where to stay this summer. We go once or twice a year. Usually like to stay at Aria Skysuites because of the private lounge with snacks and drinks and coffee in the morning. What other properties, Caesars or MGM have that type of private lounge available? Would like to try something new...

MGM Grand has a VIP lounge as well, for Skylofts and Mansion. I believe Mandalay Bay and Bellagio do as well. However, summer is a long time away, and it's hard to say what'll be open and what sort of amenities they'll have. When I was at MGM a couple months ago, they just had water/soda and some packaged snacks.

Thank you! I know that the level of service will depend on how open things are from Covid... Honestly we like easy access to coffee, and water bottles. Just not having to stand in line and buy it is a convenience worth paying for...

I am all for throwing money at problems for convenience, but at least for water, I'd weigh the cost and "right downstairs" convenience versus making at trip to CVS/Walgreens or even ordering through Instacart.

Coffee, however, is the most important meal of the day.

There are lounges at a lot of different properties, but you have to be a guest staying in a certain level suite or coded by a host to have access. There was a thread (I think a year ago; can't find it now) where members discussed their preferred lounges. Off the top of my head, I recall having been in lounges of varying quality at the following resorts: Mandalay Bay (coded by a host for both the checkin lounge which is very basic and the sky lounge wich is very good), NYNY (coded by a host; very basic and small), MGM Grand (I have had access when I stayed at a terrace suite and above; its smallish and doesn't offer a lot but its a step up from Mandalay and NYNY), Aria (you know the skysuite lounge; there are other smaller lounges for other towers, but I have only seen them from the outside and don't really appear to compare to the skysuite lounge), Bellagio (coded by a host, but I believe all penthouse and higher guests have access; its very nice, but not as nice as the skysuite lounge), Caesars (its the diamond checkin lounge; its very basic and only sometimes has snacks to go along with water, coffee, or tea), Palazzo (coded by host; its small, but very nice), Mirage (haven't been in this one in many years, but I recall it being small, lots of natural light, and some decent snacks), Wynn (its a lounge at the tower suites where you have to be coded by a host; its very nice), and Cosmo (coded by a host for the VIP lounge; its very nice but small; there is also the autograph lounge for, I think, Marriott members of a certain status, but I do not know what snacks and drinks they have in there).

That's all I can remember right now. But it does make me wonder. Does Venetian have a VIP checkin ounge? I stay on the Palazzo side, so I have no idea

There's one listed on the property map, though I have never been in it.

Does V/P still have the Prestige Club Lounge? I think they have private check-in and a club lounge about halfway up one of the towers, can’t remember if it’s Venetian or Palazzo.

That's gotta be it. The VIP checkin on the Palazzo side is in the same spot next to the front desk

Pre-Covid at least, the snacks are now granola bars and maybe some fruit. Not sure if that's what they used to have. Also water, beer, and I believe wine, as well as coffee from a single serve coffee machine. I have heard them limit a couple of folks to 2 alcoholic drinks at a time, but others they didn't say anything to (I only get coffee/water and never had an issue). I assume this is there to prevent abuse.

Lounge access is for Noir automatically, coded by host for others, and is sometimes available for purchase, but not sure how consistent that is. I will say that the checkin staff in the lounge are incredibly good- very nice, accommodating, efficient, and knowledgeable.

Basically every property on The Strip that is a casino resort has some sort of lounge for either VIP guests, suite guests, etc.

Unfortunately since Covid what is and isn't available has changed. For example, Bellagio VIP used to only be host code or villa guests only. There was a separate Chairman's Lounge for guests of certain suites. That's closed now and VIP can be added for $150 per day. It used to be butlers making alcoholic drinks, fresh made snacks and was really cool. Now it is Truly, beer, Twix and chips. Maybe one fresh item.

Sky Suites Lounge, Venetian/Palazzo's Prestige, and the Caesars Laurel Lounges have the best options. However, not sure if Prestige is still available and the Laurel Lounges are temporarily closed.

    Meaning?

You like the lounges? (and if so, which ones)
    or
You do not like the lounges?

Update...we booked a king fountain view suite and bought the VIP lounge. Anyone have any experience at this lounge recently?

I assume you mean you booked at Bellagio. I last used the lounge in late January and it was not great. Checkin there is a shorter line, which is nice. But the lounge itself, under covid restrictions, is a shell of its former self. There are sitting areas and a few prpackaged snacks. There are bottled drinks, I believe a little wine, and a few bottled alcoholic beverages (e.g., white claw). Hopefully with the looseing restrictions it will be back to its old ways before your trip.

The CET Laurel/Diamond lounges are not available for morning coffee and do not even open until 4 most days. (noon on weekends) - but they of course are not open at all right now. And there are no lounges at Flamingo, Linq, Ballys or Cromwell anyways.

Aria lounges were closed last week.

As to morning coffee - with lounges in the hotel vs on the casino floor, very limited.

We often travel with a single serve coffee pot for that reason.

Correct, I meant Bellagio... What about coffee in the morning?

The Mandalay Bay VIP checkin room had an automatic coffee machine, casino brand water bottles, cheap from concentrate OJ, limited sodas/Mt Dew energy drink, yogurt, granola bars. (maybe other snacks) No alcohol. Hours were limited, I think 9-5. Hours may have changed as that was in January.
Vip checkin option would add that and other things https://mandalaybay.mgmresorts.com/en/hotel/mandalay-bay-vip-arrival-experience.html

I don't drink coffee and didn't stop by in the morning, so I am not sure. Pre-covid, I saw plenty of people getting coffee there. In January, not sure if they were serving it
