So breakfast at Mon Ami was excellent. Nice bottle of champagne and a variety of elixirs to mix with them was fun. It was chilly when the wind blew hard but the heaters did help. Banana foster crepes are the bomb

After breakfast decided to head over to Bally’s It was still early so UTH wasn’t open and there was some big Poker event going on in the poker room. Had like 1500 entry fee I think. Took some losses on slots but I was mad so I bet my last $15 on Dragon link on 1 spin and poof it’s turned into $400. Thanks as you cashed out what I had dumped in. We wandered some more lost a little more then hit the high limit Lighting and managed to leave Bally’s up a little bit. We made the trek through the Bally’s shops out the front to cross over to the Cromwell. Again table action was limited so we passed on gambling there and hit Flamingo. As soon as we entered the Flamingo dome you could smell the pot bad. Outside , inside , bathroom, freaking everywhere. I know some people like it but damn it reeks to me. Found an UTH table and spent a good hour with no bad beats ( rare at this game ) no huge wins but Wife did flop a straight for a nice $300 hand win with bonus . Yes convinced her for us to cash out up about $600 which she doesn’t enjoy it when I tell her what to do. But that game is so volatile I didn’t want that bad beat feeling when you 4 times and lose to a dealer 7-3 off suit so she obliged. We went to play some buffaloes but they must have been stoned cause they just ate our money. A hundy in lock and link and nothing. Up to dragon link and nothing. Wife wanted to find a game she had luck on last spring but alas it was occupied so we headed back to Caesars to get valentines promo

Back at Caesars we get out wine and credit card giveaway. Not sure who or why this decision was made but you got 2- $25 cards and 3 $10 cards. I’m like WTF prolly would have been cheaper to give 1 $100 card than do this for the thousand of participants. $80 Credit on the room also. We also got a bottle of wine . I think it was Dom something. Maybe Dom DeLuise. Anywho wife also got some Swarzoski necklace.

After we went to print our daily drink coupons and my wife had $225 FP. Pretty sure that was an error as that was supposed to be swapped for the VD promotion to win the Mercedes Thanks CP we will take the FP also. We grabbed our free Starbucks even though the mgr stood and watched his employees slowing serve the masses Thanks for the help buddy. Time to rest up before dinner at Hells Kitchen

Was it just me that thought VD meant something different than Valentine's Day? :D

Well I am finally here to catch up.

Monday morning decided to play Caesars poker tournament. Plexiglass between players but not in front out you. Did ok for a while but was pretty card dead. Last hand before break I got AK in small blind with 1 limper. Decided to shove my last 5k with blinds at 400/800. BB folds. Limper gets mad and says you did that on purpose and calls with A-7 off and flops the 7 so I’m
    Out

So wife had plans to meet after lunch with a local friend so we check out GR pub. Lobster roll was pretty good. Wings were excellent. Wife got a wedge salad which was a ripoff.

I decided to take it easy and nap while
Wife went out with friends for the afternoon

Dinner was at Battistas. We like it for the old Vegas feel atmosphere. Food was ok but we have had better there. I got chicken Marsala and not enough mushrooms for my liking. Wife got Lasagna which needed sauce in the side for extra flavor. Cappuccino for dessert is the perfect ending for that meal

Wife had never been to Ellis Island so we walked over after dinner. We walked around and played some machines. Got quad Aces for $800 and hit on several other machines and left after 2 hours up $1500 here. My wife says not sure why we left as we spread some of those winnings around at the Linc, Flamingo, and Harrahs.

on a side note the food court at Caesars was closed mon and Tuesday which sucks for a quick bite option

On to Tuesday our last full day in Vegas.

We decided to do breakfast at Mon Ami again. Had the smoked salmon which was excellent. It was kinda deconstructed lox and bagel with their fresh bread. You build it yourself. Wife got her 3 egg breakfast with the yummy bacon. We gambled a bit then decided to hit up PH.

Planet Hollywood hotel is closed during the week and holy crap the casino was depressing. We ending up playing heads up Pia Gow for about 2 hours and had fun entertaining the dealers and pit and tipped quite a bit. We also drank a ton since the waitress knew where to come back for tips. Left PH even which is typical of this game but dang this was not a Vegas atmosphere.

We decided to go grab some Nachos at Margaritaville with no reservation. Well we walked right in. Again a depressing atmosphere in the place.

No big wins on Tuesday so off to bed as we leave in the AM.

    Overall

Vegas is still fun. Wish I would have been able to see at least 1 show. Gambling was not great although now with plexiglass more than 3 can play at a table at CET property which is nice. The digital craps only works if you have a really fun energetic stick man. I watched a few times and it was boring!!!!!!

Onto CP. well the room was nice and view of the fountains was great. Check in staff was excellent and friendly. That is where the service level stopped for me at CP. cage personnel were unfriendly. Cocktail servers were just blah. any request I had was either denied or a hassle. I guess I am just more comfortable at Paris. The hosts on duty were just arrogant donkeys Maybe I am too picky and expect too much. I am by no means a whale but I am new seven stars and let’s just say I felt like they could give a crap. Not a good taste

there was no social distancing at cp and people would pull up a chair in between you and someone else

luckily we had good checkin. For others the front desk was always a cluster

    17FC20B9-C581-42D7-869C-5A6F18E8F0A1.jpeg

We had an early flight once again completely full on SWA. Did hit at the Airport for $600. So that made the flight more tolerable.

Next Vegas trip will likely be Paris and maybe 4th of July. Town should be more normal and rocking with live entertainment then. Hopefully no masks but we will see on that front

    thanks for following

Ah-choo. Looks like Sneezers Palace was totally jammed, but at least you walked away with plenty of money in the coffers!

It took me to post #16 to figure out what VD meant.:faint: I'm glad I wasn't the only one having a hard time figuring what VD was.

I enjoyed your TR and it looks like you both had a wonderful time. I'm sure your VD was twice as wonderful.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us!
