I noticed that most people, including me, are reporting seeing only the popular/highly rated series, movies, documentaries etc.

Time for some truth. Hasn't anybody watch the "bad" stuff on these services?
Recently I have watched (with some fast forwarding) the following.
Hannie Caulder 1971 - Raquel Welch
The Layover 2017 - Kate Upton & Alexander Daddario
A Nice Girl Like You 2020 - Lucy Hale
Some Australian rejected teen sports coming of age movie.

I love thriller and murder mystery movies. I recently watched I'm Your Woman and I See You on Amazon. I was disappointed in I'm Your Woman. It had potential. But it was pretty boring. I See You was pretty good. Lots of twists to the very end. Helen Hunt is not aging well.

I'll watch bad stuff on directv, but with limited data, there's no way I'm going to waste it streaming bad movies! I really wanted to watch Christmas Chronicles 2 (I love Goldie Hawn - child of the 80s, Private Benjamin & Protocol I could watch over and over!!!] But never saw the first movie. Started to watch it, couldn't get into it, stopped. So haven't watched that or #2.

Watching MTV The Challenge Double Agents (Season 36 - Episode 4)
I feel dumber for having watched it, but I can't seem to help myself.
    C.T.!!!!!

    Drunk History
I never knew about this show before 2 weeks ago.

Everything else I'm watching has subtitles.
The Best 2 of the bunch are:
    Mr. Queen
Cheat On Me, If You Can

Early in the summer, we watched a netflix show called Disjointed. Stoner comedy, but smart. Well, smarter than Cheech & Chong of the 80s at least ;-) Starring Kathy Bates, whom I adore. She owns a dispensary in California (in the show). I'd recommend if you want something light, and you think you might enjoy pot humor.

Finished season 3 of Cobra Kai. Loved it. Great callbacks to KK2. Loved the twists, especially late in the season. Looking forward to season 4, and heard the writers have stories enough to go to 6 or more seasons. Since I just renewed Netflix for this, I'm catching up on the following shows that I missed earlier:

    DareDevil
    Ozark
    Roswell
    TWD
    Longmire
    Lucifer
    Punisher
    DC's Legends of Tomorrow
    The Ranch
    Schitt's Creek

On Hulu Ive been watching the new game shows - The Weakest Link, Name That Tune and The Chase. The Mayor with Ted Danson is also a cute half-hour sitcom show so far.

On Amazon Ive been watching the original Roseanne. All the original seasons are on Prime right now.

Netflix hasnt had much that has caught my eye in a while. I'd cancel it but others in my family watch it all the time.

The Christmas Chronicles 2 was a disappointment!
    BUT...
The Christmas Chronicles 2018 was really good and
proves why Kurt Russell is a great actor and fun to watch.

Queen's Gambit on Netflix. 7 part mini-series. Chess is the theme, but it would be wrong to call it a series about chess.

Sorry I wasn't clear - the original is the one I couldn't get into, so I haven't finished #1 and I won't watch #2 without #1. Maybe some day. I'd rather just go back and watch Overboard again :)

Watched Mulan (live action) on Disney+ on Saturday night and we both LOVED it.

Harry - New Zealand show on Acorn/Prime
Reckoning - Netflix - Good show, there better be a season 2 or the ending sucks.
DCI Banks - Prime - Great Series
Scott and Bailey - only 3 seasons, left me wanting lots more.

    Now to start Night Stalker.

I'm now watching Kim's Convenience. A very entertaining comedic series. Canada must be much more diverse with regard to Asians. Lots of things that they allow that wouldn't fly (I mean find funny) in the US.

I started watching "The Originals" until I found out that it was a CW Network series. Lots of good looking young people, but a little light on storyline, and it moved too slowly for my taste.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but I recently splurged on Amazon Prime to watch News of the World for $20. I know, it was a decadent purchase.

Fortunately, it was excellent. Hanks' performance among his best, IMO. It struck me as being a 21st century answer to some of the great Westerns of the 20th century, especially The Searchers (which is often considered the best Western of all time). Hanks character, Jefferson Kyle Kidd, is a former Texas 3rd (one of the most violent and successful parts of Lee's army) veteran of the Civil War, just like Ethan Edwards. But, it seems that Kidd has been enlightened through his reading to a maturity level far above Edwards. Instead of wanting to obliterate anything the natives had touched, Kidd is sure that young Johanna deserves a chance. If you're inclined, watch The Searchers first and then peruse News of the World.

    @DaiLun - Kim's Convenience

Was watching the Mandalorian and couldn't help but reflexively blurt out "That's the Dad from Kim's Convenience!".

Yes, if you watch the Disney Gallery series on the making of the Mandalorian, he is featured in one of the episodes describing how privileged he felt to be included in the episodes.

Loved the first two, but the third seemed a bit egregious. I did, however, enjoy the knife fight, and the horseback fight. Ok, I liked it. Looking forward to the next installment. How many more will be killed?
