Yes, use can use them at all the Circa restaurants. I used mine for Barry’s and 8 East.

OK, lunch at Sakana was uneventful. @44inarow was "in disposed" and couldn't make it. I took the opportunity to celebrate Jason's 50th birthday.

Normal high quality and quantity that I expect from Sakana.

Not a lot of pictures, but you get the idea

OK, the rules for Buffalo Chief, the latest version of Buffalo. This is the one that I hit for $1174.50 last night

I only read the rules sheet when:

    1)I can't figure out a feature
    2)I can't figure out a payout
3)I'm bored and don't want to spend and $$$ before I understand the machine
4)I need to explain the rules to someone else and I'm not 100% with them

In this case, it was #2 and #4, so here goes:
    Buffalo_Chief_01.jpg
    Buffalo_Chief_02.jpg Buffalo_Chief_03.jpg Buffalo_Chief_04.jpg Buffalo_Chief_05.jpg Buffalo_Chief_06.jpg Buffalo_Chief_07.jpg Buffalo_Chief_08.jpg Buffalo_Chief_09.jpg Buffalo_Chief_10.jpg

Hope this helps someone. I didn't see it at Mandalay Bay this morning or at Harrahs yesterday afternoon , it's probably at Cosmopolitan or Silverton.

I also went to Mandalay Bay to scope out the path from self parking to the hotel lobby. The fact that valets are closed (among other things) really sucks. Valet parking is right next to the hotel lobby. Self park is way out in the Hinterlands. Maybe Mirage isn't so bad after all . . . . . .

2:15. Time for a short nap. 5:30 dinner at Chubby Cattle with Elizabeth.

Sorry I had to bail! Been putting out fires all day.

That looks solid for the price. Certainly better than Top Sushi. I don't know how I feel about deep-fried shumai, but it certainly looks great, as does the nigiri.

@DaiLun those are remarkably large pieces of nigiri at Sakana. Was the texture and taste as good as it looks?

    Congrats to the partial comeback.

Never my last question, I see you posted it later in the thread. I assume you’re single. I’d also assume at least pre Covid you were getting some nice action in Vegas, as I consider it the DTF capital. You know what they say, or at least they used to say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

It's not the size of the rice balls, per se, But the rice/fish ratio. It's an AYCE.

    Absolutely. As good as Nabe.

Yeah, I think Andiamo's is going to take a big hit with Barry's now on the scene.

You can use the food offers at the Circa restaurants, but the staff is still new to the system. For example, one time 8 East used my earned comps instead of my monthly food offers even though I specified I want to use my monthly food credit. Key word appears to be "offers" and not "comps" to use your monthly food offers.

It's times like these that I miss the D Grill. They knew exactly how to use your offers. Hopefully the Circa restaurants will run like a well-oiled machine soon with respect to using food offers.

So, I was looking for a small women's t-shirt for my ex-wife, they had some really cute "Vegas Vickie" t-shirts, but NOTHING in Women's small at the Golden Gate, and the D, and at Circa they weren't even carrying the women's t-shirt.

Went to Chubby Cattle, and on the way, a stopped at the Orleans, and they didn't have any logoed gear in Women's Small.
So, that being settled for the interim, I went to Chubby Cattle and met with Elizabeth.

We said our hellos and sat down to eat. So, it wasn't a password problem, and as I found out when I brought it back to the hotel, there is something more serious going on that I will need to look at, at home.

I asked her why she didn't contact me when she started having problems and she said it was Japanese customs that when a person offers to help, you DON'T ask them. So, I had to "force" the help on her. I told her "remember, we hadn't known each other for that long and didn't know each other that well", I also told her that I was ignorant of many Japanese cultural differences, but by watching things like Tokyo Diner and the Miyazaki movies, I was slowly learning.

She is VERY Japanese. Her father died when she was 8 and she moved to Japan with her mother and two brothers.

We ordered a healthy portion of food, and this girl can EAT!!!! Out of all this food, she probably ate 2/3.
    upload_2020-12-2_21-15-2.png
    We ordered:
    Seafood Platter
    upload_2020-12-2_21-15-20.png
Beef and lamb Platter (beef on the top, lamb on the bottom)
    upload_2020-12-2_21-15-59.png
Vegetable basket (left basket in the first picture)
Mushroom Basket and Elizabeth's tomato/oxtail soup
    upload_2020-12-2_21-17-4.png
sauces are brought out in individual containers
    upload_2020-12-2_21-18-22.png
We also had an order of sushi off of the menu (Chef's Special) that Elizabeth wanted to try.

The food was excellent and I had my fill, having eaten AYCE sushi earlier in the day.

But, between Chubby Cattle and Nabe, I would definitely give the nod to Nabe.

1)The conveyor belt is a "novelty"
2)Chubby Cattle is ala carte all the way, which makes it more expensive
3)I didn't really like the 'spacing' at Chubby Cattle.

This was the bill from Chubby Cattle
    upload_2020-12-2_21-20-56.png

Still, this was a Food, Folks, and Fun trip. It was good to meet with Elizabeth.

So, after she gave me the laptop, it was off to Circa, where I discovered that they don't even HAVE the Vegas Vickie shirts at the Fury store. Then it was off to the D to see Elma another FGF who was supposed to CALL me when she came up to San Jose last month.

Before she could give her excuse I told her "you were visiting family, and family comes first". She told me that she got sick. I told her that it was OK, but this was my last night in town, and I would be back twice in January. Again, this is part of my "fishing expedition", so if nothing come from it, what have I lost?

Walked back through QQQQ and bought stocking stuffers for my son and ex-wife.

Electro luminescent panels that can be put on any t-shirt.
    For my ex-wife

    For my son

They come with pins that you can attach to any t-shirt.

OK, all done. Played my last $80 in FP at QQQQ, and came away with $30 and a clad Silver Strike.

Time for bed. Later flight tomorrow unless I go to the airport early. Thanks for following along . . .

Went to CIrca recently and saw the owner of Saginaw’s Delicatessen. It seems like the owners from out of state are staying in Vegas to work hard at making their places a success. I can tell you they went above and beyond everywhere I ate at when I went to Circa.

also, there's Elma - potential FGF and hostess at Andiamo's

OK, I have gone the longest in a trip to Las Vegas without spending ANY of my money gambling. As I related yesterday, the minor comeback put me right at my loss limit, and I do have 3 more trips scheduled in January and February.

I also want to save my gambling money where it will be put to good use in 2021. I concede the W2-G prize to my BFF.

Since SWA has rescinded the "middle seat empty" policy, there are many more seats open and I'm gonna try to get on an earlier flight using A-list standby.

It's been a good trip. Lots of Food, Folks, FGFs, and Fun.

HEY!!!!! New handlebars arrived while i was gone. I will install and update accordingly. And to state the story correctly, the handlebar snapped at the base as i was making a turn, which is why i fell into the street.

Eating breakfast @ Saginaw's at Circa. Had the $22.00 corned beef reuben

Most sandwiches you eat the bread to get more substance, but this one I actually stopped eating the bread because there was so much meat, cheese, and kraut. Was going too eat at Magnolia's, but I ran out of QQQQ cards and couldn't get another one for an hour. Used to be that the pit bosses could print 'em out, but the pit was closed. Luckily, I had a comp balance with Circa. Comps are comps are comps, I say.
