I was playing at Four Queens and a guy stood and played the machine next to me. I hit the service button and they asked him to move.

For active eating and drinking every restaurant has let us unmask when we sit down. Downtown Cocktail Room let you remove a mask once they poured you a cocktail or a water if you were deciding.

It depends. As far as restaurants, I've seen a lot of people keeping their mask on even while seated, taking it down to eat but putting it back on when the server comes around. I'd also say that these days, my anecdotal impression of public sentiment is that the majority of people are taking this more seriously every day, and realize that the mask issue is about more than just them. It used to be that most people weren't wearing masks outside; when I was around tonight, I think I saw like five people without a mask, everyone else had them fully on. Almost all of the casinos are being very diligent about having security keep an eye on enforcement.

The biggest problem now, in my opinion, is people with zero body awareness, which was a problem in Vegas (and plenty of other places) pre-pandemic. Nothing drives me crazier than people standing at the top of an escalator trying to decide where they want to do.

I would order take out and bring up to my room, much safer right now and more comfortable. I am sure all casinos will allow take outs up to their rooms from other places right? There is no reason they cannot allow it especially during a time like this.

I can't speak to "all casinos", but for the most part, yes. It doesn't count towards restaurant capacity, and it means they don't have to use up a seat when they have only 25% capacity. Many of the MGM properties can actually do online take-out orders (though it doesn't work half the time).

I haven't been out to eat since the 25% mandate was included last week, but during the 50% restriction, even Javier's (where pre-lockdown someone would just be like, "nah, we're too busy and not allowing takeout tonight") had no problem, even close to closing time. I think they know that they need whatever business they can get if they want to stay open. And even when indoor dining was completely closed, takeout was allowed. But again, can't speak universally.

EDIT: For what it's worth, I do still tip as if I was dining in. Not meant to be a comment on tipping or to start a debate, but that's just what I'm doing. I also do recommend trying to do an online order or calling just to confirm.

When I was there before the 25%, Most CET Restaurants had online ordering, but I found out that its not really integrated. The online order goes through another system, then someone at the restaurant has to look for it on a tablet and manually make the order at the restaurant. When it was busy they wouldn't process them very fast. I would have to go there and go hey did my order go through, which defeats the purpose of online ordering. I did do alot of takeout, but found a few hiccups. Some places had limited takeout menu's versus dine in, and its really hard to eat a steak with a plastic fork and knife.

Yeah, I tried it once or twice and it just didn't go through. Never tried with CET, but MGM is not much better. The system will theoretically let you do it, but as with many computer-based things in Vegas these days, the website just doesn't work that well. At Aria, for example, I've had no (or few, in the case of Javier's) problems walking up with a takeout order, even during and before 50%, but every time I tried doing the online thing, I'd get to the restaurant and the host/hostess would say something along the lines of, "hmmm, I don't see that". As others have reported, this is the case across the board; personally I've gotten haircut or cabana reservations when the website said it was completely unavailable.

I haven't personally encountered truly limited takeout menus, but I'm sure they exist. But it just depends on what you're getting. Like you said, it's hard to eat a steak with a plastic fork and knife, but pad thai, a quesadilla, or sushi work pretty well. And most places know how to do to-go orders, as attested to by the lemon square from Picasso and seafood bucatini from Majordomo sitting in my fridge right now.

We just returned from our visit. We were in town from Wednesday 11/25 through Monday 11/30. After the restrictions were announced, we made reservations for two meals per day. Definitely not what we usually do, but wanted to be sure we were covered for meals. We were a party of 4 and really had no problems adjusting when needed. We did go to a couple places and make reservations for immediate seating as well. I wasn’t sure if it would be super busy due to the holiday with the 25% restrictions added or not. As it turned out, we weren’t really limited on anything we wanted to do. Most of our reservations were made on open table.

RiRa - Breakfast - Reserved on Open Table in advance
Joe’s Prime Steak and Stone Crab - Thanksgiving Dinner - Reserved on Open Table in advance
Mon Ami - Breakfast - Reserved on Open Table in advance
Giada - Dinner - Reserved in advance, cancelled by us for Friday and booked Saturday again on short notice
    Hussong’s Cantina - Dinner - Immediate seating
Rhythm and Riffs (Mandalay Bay) - Drinks - Immediate seating
Border Grill - Breakfast Brunch - Reserved on Open Table in advance
Battista’s Hole in the Wall - Dinner - Reserved in advance on Open Table
Bound Cocktail Lounge - Cromwell - Drinks - Immediate seating
House of Blues - Breakfast - Immediate seating (Had Hash House @ Linq booked and changed our minds)
Montecristo Cigar Bar - Drinks - immediate seating
Vanderpump - Drinks - immediate seating
Parasol Down - walk up with about 1/2 hour wait
Grand Luxe Cafe - walk up with 15 minute wait.

By the looks of things, we probably could have done all of these without advance reservations. Though, if you have your heart set on something specific, reservations are the way to go. Had a great trip even with restrictions. Crowd felt a little more like the regular Vegas crowd. Can’t wait to book our next one. Cheers!

So I'm surprised the food court at Caesars palace is mostly closed even for takeaway. I figured with all these restrictions on fancy or sit down restaurants, the food court would have a lot of demand for takeaway orders

When I was there early Nov, it was closed for renovations. Only Difara and Earl of Sandwich open off to the side.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of halal guys and the taco place. I'm debating a December trip to at Caesars, and this closing is a negative for me.

This was my experience last weekend.
Wicked Spoon - Mask is off when at table once the drinks arrive. Mask on when getting food.
Gordon Ramsay Pub - Mask is off once the drinks arrive.
Vanderpump - Mask is only when actively drinking something or if you had food in front of you. You essentially had to order food if you wanted to leave the mask off.
Monte Cristo Cigar Lounge - Mask is off if you have a lit cigar. If you only have drinks, the mask is off only when actively drinking.

All sit down restaurants required reservations with a max of 4. Monte Cristo removed their food from menus so they wouldnt require reservations. Vanderpump needed reservations. I walked to the entrance on Friday and was asked to make a reservation for Sunday. They then let me in 20min later after modifying my reservation in the system for Friday. I generally go to the Oyster Bar at Palace Station every trip, but when I called last Wednesday, I was told they were completely booked til Monday. Every slot. Including Thursday night at 5am.

Tables at Caesars Palace seemed exactly as before. Craps tables were 3 people per side. No watching allowed. Masks required in all areas of casino. I dont really play slots, but it seemed the same as before.

Supposively you had to wear masks outside, but dont see how it can be enforced. Approximately 90% of the people were wearing masks outside.

On the other hand, in the hotel room with no one looking, it's much easier eating that steak with your hands. I may or may not have done that with a to-go filet from Old Homestead, even though I had the plastic fork and knife at the ready.

For those of you dining solo like me, I was able to make reservations online at the following restaurants: The Pub (Aria/Crystals), Moneyline Pizza Bar (Aria), Chayo Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar (Linq), Virgil's Real BBQ (Linq), Mon Ami Gabi (Paris), Mercato Bella Pescheria (Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian), & Primeburger (Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian).

Does anyone know if there are restaurant in Vegas that are saying NO to cash as payment??

Well I just made reservations at the Cromwell for four free nights from the 18th to the 22nd, I'm going stir crazy and some of the recent trip reports are giving me hope. I'll probably cancel if the restrictions get worse but hopefully this will work out.

I went after Thanksgiving when I thought it would be busy and honestly it wasn’t that crowded and easy to social distance. When I got home I was actually exposed my first day back to work. My buddy who went with me only leaves his house once a week for a weekly poker game. The week we were in Vegas it hit his poker group and 4/7 came down with corona. We were literally safer in Vegas lol.

Not trying to get into a discussion on the merits of smoking and all... but I'm really trying to figure out how smoking and wearing a mask can possibly go together.

Well, damn........ I leave tomorrow for Las Vegas. Today I get a phone call from Vegas.com that the three tours I was scheduled to take during my trip have been canceled. Grand Canyon x2 & Bryce/Zion. When I booked the tours, individual people could go by themselves. I guess the tour company changed its mind to a group of people who live together are the only ones who can go. I had to scramble to book reservations for breakfast for Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday. Good thing is that I get my money back. $699. I also got a text message from Moneyline Pizza that they are going to be closed during the week I'm in Vegas. I was supposed to eat dinner there tomorrow. Made another reservation for another restaurant. Oh.well....

Yeah, even in November but especially now, before Christmas, which is traditionally a slower time in the normal course, a lot of restaurants are open only from Thursday to Sunday. And with the numbers getting worse every day, especially in Nevada, I'm not surprised actually about the tour cancellations unless everyone is in the same group. When I was at the GC in late September they weren't doing tours then, except the mule rides.

The cancellations are a bummer but if you go with the attitude of wanting to enjoy yourself you can still have a great time. Wishing you safe travels and a great trip!
