I have a reservation but not 100% committed. But because of Covid I am viewing it not as a big NYE party type trip if I go but rather a fun trip that happens to take place over NYE.

I have the 30th-2nd booked at NYNY. Most likely i'll be going.

I also have dec 19th weekend at PH that i'm going for sure. Might move it to the 12th so the NYE trip isn't so close together.

I'll be there. Still trying to figure out the hotel part. Considering Rio because I don't like big crowds, plus I'd like to get in one more stay just in case the closing rumors are true.

My family got a little too upset with my Christmas trip plans, so I just pushed it back to NYE last night before going to bed.

I'll be at the Luxor 12.30.2020-01.02.2021, drinking heavily, and telling 2020 to kiss my ass.

Haha I'll perform the Dim Mak if I can get one of those circles on Fremont. Haha that way I can get tips from the bystanders.

We have reservations from the 29th through the 2nd, but likely to not go. Husband is recovering from a mild case of Covid so he should be immune, but I tested negative so that is a consideration along with travel and occupancy restrictions.

I actually haven't booked flights yet, but it will probably be around noon Vegas time, since I made some NYE plans with family and I can't get out of it. Currently planning a long trip though, maybe around Dec 19th to the 31st.

What dates are you thinking of?

I would like to weigh in for those that are considering Downtown Las Vegas from last year's New Year, 2020. We went and rang in the year downtown Vegas last year, it was 2020, Woot! OMG, we had no idea what this year would turn into, but I digress, Its a nice countdown. Other than that, it was EXACTLY the same as any other night. Nothing different at all.

They charge you to be in the area, but other than that, it is EXACTLY like any other night downtown and more crowded. Other than the countdown clock. For paying $50 extra bucks to be there, it was sort of underwhelming and kind of a letdown as compared to how it is advertised. Its just a premium on being in Vegas in New Years. Additionally, there were lines everywhere to just be in the space, some people couldn't even get through the lines to be there and they had bought tickets. Its a huge crowd, that's it. Nothing special like its proclaimed to be. If I had to do it over again, I would go to the Strip. Maybe it would be different.

And yes, I drank a lot and champagned toasted, but was it worth it? Probs not.

You couldn’t pay me $50 to ring in the Chinese New Year downtown. Downtown is gross and needs some nice new invigoration.
