If the meet up is more around the end of summer, then I think I can swing it/convince my wife. But if it’s within the next few months, as much as I would love to, I may be in trouble at home lol.

The way things are going I’m thinking meetup will happen in August or September. We can’t have this until at least most of us feel comfortable.

As most know I live in NJ. Things are still pretty serious around here even though things are starting to open back up.

Caesars AC just cancelled my June 20-22 reservation. We have reservations for July and September.

Hopefully things will be safer come September. I still am hopeful for September and less optimist for July.

    Stay safe everyone!:)

Mrs Wallew and I are booked for 7/17 and 7/18 at Caesars. I figure I can always cancel before then.

Hopefully we can just enjoy a well deserved weekend on the boards.

We’re booked the 14-17. Hopefully they’re open. Not holding my breath though, breathing it through my mask is bad enough. :evillaugh:

I'll make a weeknight 2am day-trip and leave after breakfast for my first jaunt to AC post opening. Less people. Staying there is probably down the road a bit.

Bringing this back do to renewed interest thanks to @LB9.

It looks like the date we will be trying to shoot for is Friday 9/25. Venue and meet up time to be determined.

So like all plans now I would love to say everything will go off perfect, but alas I can’t promise that lol.

To that point, however, I’m happy to post NJ/AC updates in the coming weeks as we lead up, but it would be a bit funny if the guy from Virginia is telling those of you from New Jersey what’s going on there so I figure we can all post things as we hear them haha.

Once September rolls around, especially if we can at least get a handful of tentative folks, we can start listing potential locations. As far as I go, I’m flexible for whatever the group wants to do but I’m happy to help plan.

Also, even if indoor dining is open, I think the safest route is for us to at least start outside before venturing in to gamble/or drink more if we can. Plus, it will be fantastic weather outside and it seems that, at least before November when it’s cold, we will have quite a few options, especially if we’re flexible and do random times (like 4:00pm or something).

Looking forward to the prospect of this!

    Hey Now!
I had my knee replaced in June. If possible I will hobble up for this.
Since we stay at Resorts, it's an easy call.

Mr and Mrs Wallew are in.( if Mrs Wallew misses out on this meet up, Mr Wallew will be sleeping in the shed after last year).

Room is booked for 9/25 at Caesars. I will double book at Hard Rock when it becomes available in another week or two online. That way we are covered depending on where the meet up location is on the boardwalk.

Based on current conditions in AC I would vote for the north end of the boardwalk for a meet up somewhere between Resorts and Oceans.

So we went from this not long ago

A few months ago we were here

In September we will meet somewhere in the middle. We will make the best of the current conditions. Laughs will be had, memories will be made and all while we make sure we are as safe as possible.

I think what will help all of us is that our expectations aren't high/out of touch to begin with, it's more of a coterie of us getting together (in a safe way, mind you) to have a few drinks outside, possibly to game inside and just shoot the shit (definitely gambling for me if we can drink inside). Tempering those expectations insofar as open options/etc. may actually be a benefit if things indeed to open up more, as we may have more options than we could conceive now.

I'm looking forward to this, and even my wife is on board with me going which as far as I can say is a huge win lol

I have no preference, whatever works for you all. A walk down the boardwalk from Bally's/Caesars probably wouldn't hurt as I've put on the covid 19 per my doctor LOL

We're relying on you @hammie to do a drive by before to find what looks like the best spot!
