I love Good Will Hunting but the scene where Matt Damon goes on the rant about why he shouldn't work for the NSA just seems too contrived to me. Probably the only scene in the movie I dislike.

    What you got?

Oceans 11 - The scene with Shirley MacLaine and Dean Martin outside the Sahara right before midnight on New Year's Eve. It just stops an already slowly-paced movie.

Speaking of Oceans 11, in the scene where they are all in the rec room of Acebos's house, (especially early in the film when it is mainly Acebos and Mushy), check out the number of chairs in the rec room. Then count the number of STYLES of chairs in the rec room. I think the number is the same.

Oceans Eleven - Any scene with George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

Vegas Vacation - The entire scene at the Grand Canyon (and if that is too long, you can keep the spot up to when he is trying to seal leaks in the rocks with gum).

My old drinkin' buddy Gunnery Sergeant in Full Metal Jacket. The obstacle course scene, traversing the 'monkey bars'.

Hartman says "it should take you no less than ten fucking seconds to negotiate this obsticle".

That says...that ten seconds is the MINIMUM amount of time for the task. You can take an hour to do it, and that's ok. It sounds like completing the task quickly - under ten seconds - as fast as possible, is not our objective. What he really meant to say was that it should take you no MORE than ten fucking seconds to negotiate this obstacle, establishing a maximum amount of time to accomplish the task. The task should take only ten seconds, at most. That stuck in my noggin for ages and I finally broke down and checked the screenplay. Yep, transposing less for more made it through editing. Hartman's next line clarifies that "no one is going to graduate until the obstacle is negotiated in UNDER ten seconds".

I will have to go with It's a Wonderful Life. The scene when George Bailey comes back to normal after Clarence shows him what life would have been like for his family and friends if he wasn't born. Jimmy Stewart runs round Bedford Falls shrieking and horribly overacting. "Yay Bert and Ernie "! Well whaddaya know about that! "Is it really you Mary"?!!!!!! I just hate that scene . So cornball.

Scarface. The scene where Tony Montana meets his boss Frank Lopez and they’re chatting it up while waiting for Elvira....Worst part of the movie.

I wish they would have edited or removed these 2 scenes!
They could have made a cut and uncut version of the movie.

1.) Barbie bathroom masturbatory scene. Could have been cut and only alluded to.
2.) The fat kid and the groping on fake boobs. Completely unnecessary.

Adam Sandler should ask for a 3rd opinion on editing from someone who's NOT in his inner circle.
He’s just not as funny as he thinks he is!

I knew that. Gotta stop the late-night posting.

Got my "Vacation" movies confused. I actually love the Grand Canyon scene in National Lampoon's Vacation.

The last scene of Easy Rider. Tragic. Why did it have to end that way?

In Godfather 2, the scenes where Michael is at his Tahoe compound by himself, contemplating his past and\or future, with slow dirge-like music. It's a time filler and pace killer. Otherwise terrific.

I thought maybe you had watched some kind of supercut where the family goes to GC, to Wally World, to Germany, to Hoover Dam, with a christmas break in between

All the Sondra Locke singing scenes in "Any Which Way But Loose." Hate is a strong word, but I definitely don't mind missing those! Clyde and Ma are the whole film for me!

The circus scenes in The Jerk. That whole part of the story could have been rewritten.
