So, it doesn't seem like Cromwell is going to be opening for a while. I'll be out there solo Wed 8/5-Sun 8/9 and just received the email from CET informing me that they are going to move me over to Caesars. I've stayed @ Caesars on my last 2 trips and want to try something different. Just going through my comp calendar, I have the option for Bally's Resort Executive suite or Harrah's Executive suite so I was thinking about reaching out to my host and changing the reservation.

I enjoy playing at both casinos when I'm out there so I really don't have a preference to either. Now to throw a wrench in the gears, there is also another option. I can do Wed night downtown @ The D then move over to Planet Hollywood on Thursday (opening day) to stay in the Ultra Hip Strip Suite. I was probably going to head to both The D and over to Cosmo for a few hours to play also sometime during this trip.

There are no wrong or right answers, I'm just curious everyones thoughts. I haven't stayed at Bally's or Harrah's in quite a few years, and have never stayed in any of the rooms that I'm considering.

I haven't stayed in a Harrah's Exec since they've been remodeled. The highlight of that room was always the bathroom. But it looks like they replaced the large corner jacuzzi with a soaking tub.

I've stayed in the Bally's Exec Suite in both towers. Identical rooms. Nice and open. The large jacuzzi tub in almost the center of the room. Tons of closet space, because there are closets on each side of the tub. The shower is large enough for 4 people and has a ledge you can sit on and just relax and let the water shower you. I really like the jacuzzi and the shower.

I'd go with the Bally's Exec.

As far as PH goes, I've been offered nice suites there. But I don't care for the place.

From all the reports, there's no way you'd get me to set foot in Cosmo or D during Coronapalooza. They don't seem to be too concerned about things.

    (Politically) Correctly put . . . . .

When I was there in early July, Cosmo was OK, the D not so much, and BFF related from his trip last week that it's only gotten worse downtown.

Just be aware that the Bally's Executive has a door for the water closet, but the rest of the bathroom area is open to the bedroom. I had never looked at the Harrah's suite before, but that looks much better for my own preferences. It's a true one bedroom (if a little smallish).

Unrelated FYI...I was at Bally's last night and, no joke, there were more employees on the floor than customers. It seems their main purpose was to tell you to put your mask over your nose as you still couldn't get a drink.

I've stayed in the Harrah's Executive Suite that was remodeled, it was nice. The bedroom is in a separate room with it's own AC and a door to close it off from the living/dining room areas. Would be good if not everyone is up at the same time etc.
I also like the purple colors they used.

Bally's pluses: Larger window line. Jetted tub in bathroom. Room seems brighter. Being able to walk to Paris is a plus. Better (fully enclosed) shower.

Bally's negatives: Room is a bit smaller. Not a true suite, feels like one large room that is because it is. Bathroom isn't separate from the bedroom by a door. Resort Tower is where the MGM fire happened, and that would be unsettling to me. Casino doesn't do it for me.

Harrah's pluses: True suite with separate living room. Bathroom is more private and is larger. I prefer the casino. Big Elvis plays there!

Harrah's negatives: Getting to valet parking is horrible. Shower doesn't have a door.

Planet Hollywood. Casino is more lively. And the bathroom is cool that it looks over the strip.

I stayed at Bally's numerous times. The resort tower executive suite is my least preferred compared to the jubilee tower executive suite simply because the views are better at the jubilee tower and the tub is jetted meanwhile the tub in the resort tower isn't but it is the most renovated.

Now that we established that the only benefit of Bally's is the large tub then Harrah's Suite wins being a true suite. This pains me as I am bias towards Bally's but I would definitely take the Harrah's suite. If you are adamant on playing at Cosmo however then I would weigh more towards Bally's for the location.

I would also throw in one night at the D for the downtown experience.

This was my Jubilee Executive suite exactly on the week of the shutdown. Another con is TV is too small for the location of the bed. You have to sit on the chairs to get a close view. To some this doesn't matter when in Vegas but I like to wind down with my partner and binge some shows before going out to the strip again.

The Resort Exec Suites are newly remodeled at both Bally's & Harrah's. Bally's is a little larger (at least the ones I was in) & I prefer their location over Harrah's but that's just me....Probably can't go wrong their either. They are both better than PH UHS....

I haven't stayed in either of those suites so I can't give advice on that, but I think either Bally's or Harrah's is preferable to The D for 1 night then having to move to PH. Especially with it being opening day for PH and not knowing what conditions will be like there.

This is the Harrah’s Executive Suite I stayed at December 2019. Valley Tower, very quiet & clean.

I agree on that assessment lol some other hotels suites have higher quality toiletries in their suites so come on Harrah's with the soap dispensers

I am liking the modern look of the Harrah's suite however.

Thank you everyone for the comments. Unfortunately, I just got word today that ANY flight taken right now will require a 14 day quarantine from work. Driving may be a way around the quarantine, but that is still up for clarification right now. If I drive out there in my personal car, it may take Harrah's out of the equation. I used to stay at the Imperial Palace in my early comp days and the frame rails on my car would grind the full length over ever single speed bump in the back area of the Linq/Harrah's parking garage as my car is heavily modified and sits pretty low. The Paris/Bally's parking garage I can make it into just fine and I used to work at PHo, so I know that garage works fine with my car. We don't even know that PHo is going to be open though, so that is also a factor.

That being said, I don't think I want to stay in the haunted Bally's tower, lol. It appears that this trip could be on the chopping block, I guess we'll see what happens. This is all good info as I'm not sure that my usual Cromwell is going to be open in November for our next trip and I'm leaning towards Harrah's assuming that my work travel ban has been lifted, or we take my buddy's car.
