Anyone have info if Caesars are going to do anything to our Reward Credits due to new owners? Between my wife and I we have about $900. Not planning any Vegas trips for a while, but we are near Harrahs SoCal, we can start using them up there if we might lose their value. Thanks

The deal hasn't been approved by all states just yet. They won't do anything until that is all said and done, plus it will take time to integrate both systems. Credits won't lose their value overnight, but you can probably expect changes to the program 6-12 months after the transaction is completed.

If it was me sitting on that $900, I'd start using them though.

I don't think that they would risk pissing off people by discontinuing one or the other.

That from the guy sitting on $1300 CET RCs.

If they don't extend the expiration on reward credits past 9/1/2020, I think 10s of millions of reward credits dollars will expire.

After this 5x is over I will have about $300 that I plan to use in September. But ya I would be pissed if they got taken away.

This discussion has got me thinking. I have about $6400 in Reward Credits so maybe I need to use them. Not much to use them on here locally so I save them for Las Vegas. It's been three or so years since I was in LV so they have been building up from my local play. In my opinion I don't think El Dorado will be as generous with rewards credits in the future. We also have a local El Dorado and if they do things like they do now it will definitely be different.

LOLS, dunno about Lousiana, but not much for me to use them locally in Indiana so the build up until I got to Vegas. But yeah, $6400 is insane. I would zero them out for free play if it was stil 125=$1 for 7*s.

Agree I don't see any immediate changes. My guess is the first step would be transferring Eldorado locations over to CR.
Raising redemption to 2/1 from 1/1 at more locations could be something they try to sneak in down the road.
Will be curious to see if they keep handing out Diamond left and right. I can think of a number of ways to save money there.

Might want to consider either using for free play at the awful ratio or ordering something from their catalog. Both will provide a big hit to value but would get you something guaranteed from it.

If your location is like Council Bluffs I expect that you have multiplier days that help pile them up. We went to CB one weekend & I ate 6 meals there and still came back with well over $100 more RCs than I left with due to multipliers.

I received an email from Horseshoe Bossier City that this coming Friday they will be having an Ultimate Exchange where you can exchange RC’s for Freeplay 1:1 ratio up to $1000. This is the second time I have gotten this offer this year.

I'm like RedRiverRose. Sitting on $6000 of RCs and nothing to spend them on.

It's been about 3 years of hoarding for me, without a multiplier even. Whenever given a choice between freeplay and points, I would go with the points. Same with the flight reimbursement. It builds up fast.

I wish I could spend them faster, because then hosts would comp off what I charge to the room and not say that they comped everything when instead they use my RCs.

I hate losing value. 2:1 for freeplay is awful (and limited to $500 per day), Caesars e-catalog items are even worse (even with some discounted ones), I can only gift $100 worth per year, and I even hate spending them at the casino gift shops because I don't get the 25% discount unless paying with cash. The Ultimate Exchanges have been limited to $150 at my local casino, and I never have need to use my RCs there.

You'd think Caesars or Eldorado would want to get those RCs off the books and offer an unlimited 1:1 freeplay rate.

I miss the old days of being able to convert them to cash.

I'll probably break down and get some overpriced and outdated MacBook from the catalog.

I just played at my local Harrahs and when I log on to Rewards website the reward credits are expiring 01/02/2021. Would they have to give me this time to use them up? Thanks

I'm exactly like maxev. Have $3400 and July 15-Aug is 5x's mult for tier and reward credits at Joliet, so that will give me much more. Hopefully going in Oct with another couple and planning on treating them. I like massages but not with Covid.

That's two nights in a Palace Tower Villa at Caesars and a nice dinner at Guy Savoy. At least that is what I'd use it for.

They will have to do something about that. It is one thing to hand out diamond left and right to people who use it a few days a year in Las Vegas. It’s quite another to have locals type casinos loaded with members who have lounge access and will use it multiple times a week.

IIRC, reward credits can be converted to Wyndham points (though not sure if there’s a maximum). If there’s nothing to spend it on in the CET realm, perhaps paying for hotel stays at Wyndham properties could be a way to use those points up.

IMHO, Wyndham points are not worth it. They SAY that rooms are available at 7500 points a night, but those are places like Baker and other out of the way places. Any decent place is 15,000 point/night and you're only allowed 30,000 points a year.
