LOL! I was there tonight to check in. I needed an ID to get in the door, and they were passing out masks. Not really sure what people are doing with them though. When I worked in Corrections I was a student of my trade and would both learn about programs and go to the conferences were administrators described them. Phrases like "evidenced based" and "best practices" were bandied about. Yeah, we had some programs with the same name of programs that others have used successfully. Problem is that we don't want to, or don't know how to do the actual program. Fortunately administrations can get a lot of mileage from naming something. Did you know that masks are mandatory in casinos?!?!. Nothing to see here.

    so there is full compliance?
we were there on the turnover to mandatory, staff everywhere did seem to be trying extra hard to enforce.
It was pretty loosey goosey (except at tables) before.

No, it was far from full compliance. I actually haven't looked a table games anywhere. The first time I went there I did see a patron get asked to wear their mask, That was the first time I saw that this trip. People at or around the Long bar often were not wearing or only sort of wearing masks. I did get temp checked both times going in and IDed the 2nd time. Do you know what that's about? At Binion's and 4Q's I was able to wonder in unmolested.

    Thanks.

Now may you please go and hit the other side of variance. May you hit your overdue royal and may it be on dollars.

    That is all.

I might be wrong, but I do remember seeing points accrue on FP at 4Q earlier this year. The FP promotion might be a good time to test it out.

I never hear much about folks playing VP at GG.

I enjoy the progressive 8/5 BP at GG especially with the ACG and LVA coupons. Even without those coupons, the progressives make those machines playable. Only issue is cocktail service is spotty sometimes if there aren’t slot players in that area where those machines are located. During the afternoons which is when i tend to play at GG, i have been the only person in that room for hours on end.

Just found out that mwig hit the progressive RF and his wife the progressive SF I've been chasing. I'm sure that they are better and far more desering of these than I am. Still, I may decide to postpone my luck until these have a chance to accumulate,

    Thanks for the nice sentiments.

Agreed! Since I'm a covid scaredy cat, I decided to move from the D to GG for the WE of the 4th, Their bar and tables can get really crowded, but there is never a crowd in the area with those progressives which does often lead to "spotty" drink service. The quotation marks are because my drinkless record there was between 3 and 4 hours one mornig. Spotty was not the description I was using although my word also started with an S.

I think that's because the better progressive VP is tucked away from the excitement of GG tables and from much drink service. These games are actually connected to the progressives at D's Vue bar. Once I discovered this and the great comped beer selection I started staying and playing there every trip. You do sacrifice the Vue Bar social scene though.

If someone else had said that I would tend to discount the idea, but I've learned that that you're really good a keeping track of a several programs. I have played my 4QA's FP on 10/7 DB bonus specifically because the $16 per point was irrelevant. I'll be playing FP there next week and let you know. What I do remember was getting points on D FP, but that was over a while ago. Did you catch where I was talking about you in my last TR? I would have named you, but was hoping you'd be doing your own TR and didn't want to spoil it.

Got the PM FAB. Certainly the VP is the same and I have played there. This time they are the only casino bar open, so I picture those shut off machines being occupied by unmasked people shouting out their drink orders. My experience is that Mikes' bar serves great comped cocktails. There is no comparison to the inferior product that serves will bring you at a floor machine. For a beer drinker wanted good VP, food and comped beer, Chicago Brewing is unwatched in my experience.

I sure did! I sat there stunned for a while. First dealt RF in my VP career! I'm trying to find time to do my TR. Hopefully after my next Vegas trip.

I actually had the opposite experience at the D. No points on FP.

Oh wow. That’s bad. I don’t think I have had to deal with that long of a wait before in that GG spot. Those are nice machines too ... no sticky buttons, etc.

Mornings are especially bad for drink service at the GG machines. I made a point to get a drink at the bar there if I need a drink in the morning before settling down at the 8/5 BP machines.

That would be great Ty. I'm moving to the GG today and 4Q's Sunday. I'm an over weight guy with balding gray hair scribbling in a notebook while wearing a mask. Quite the chick magnet.

    6/30 Tuesday at the D.

It's moving day. I checked in yesterday, but stayed at 4Q's. I have time sensitive tasks. I need to collect my $400 in FP from both 4Q's and Binion's. Also this is my last day to play June FP at GG and D. My first task went well and 4Q's gave me $400 FP and a bunch of comp dollars for reaching 4000 points. I had a problem at Binion's, though. They only had me at 3,994 pts. I wasn't going to do a low play day for 6 pts, so I lost $10 FP and $100 comp dollars. I can use my 4Q's comps to get a voucher for the steak house, so this really isn't a big deal. I used the last of my 4Q's room food comp on a ham and cheddar omelet. This was my first morning breakfast this trip. I had a lot to do today and packed as breakfast was cooking. Magnolias current hours are 7am to 11pm.

I went to the D's player's booth for $100 in MP's and to use LVA slot MP coupon. The D is doing an unadvertised doubling of MP offers, but it may technically be designed for those staying there.

I started playing the D's Vue bar at 11:30 with a Baily's and coffee. They don't take FP and my only game there is the 3 way progressive .25c 8/5 BP.

I hit 6's for $36.50 at 11:55, 3's with a kicker that I so much wanted yesterday$36.50 at 12:22 for $50 at 12:06, Q's for $36'50 at 12:22, dealt Aces (my first for the trip) for $100 at 12:24, and 8"s for $31.75 at 12:46. The SF had built to $250but was hit. A loud unmasked player was talking up the server when she appeared on the other side of me. On top of that, I lost my $100 at 2:06. Time for a break. Up in my room, I read mwig's TR showing that he had hit the RF.

I had played my $150 at the new Canada bar on .25c 7/5 ACES Bonus. I turned it into $125 cash. I thought they would carry only mediocre Canadian beer offerings but they had something that tasted like a Belgian Trippel for a French Canadian brewery. I played slow and got 2.

I've got to check out now, so more later.
