Share your best info on how to recover from a night of too many libations. What helps prevent a hangover? Best ways to recover from a hangover? Come at me with all you got...I'm going to Vegas in August and I want to have a good time with minimal pain from it.

drink plenty of water or drinks with low sugar and electrolytes before and after you start drinking, Make sure you eat something and last but not least it sounds gross but if you have to throw up just do it, you'll feel better in the end and it'll be with it.

A lot of us bring Dripdrop packets and have 1 or 2 or 3 per day, especially before bed. It's an electrolyte beverage, like plants crave, but what makes them good for Vegas is they're intended to be mixed with 8oz of water, which just happens to be the amount of water in almost all the free waters almost all the casinos give out when you order a drink.

Other tip, always order a water with your drink on the floor. Then drink the water after your alcohol drink while waiting on your next drink order.

as said before, keep hydrated-the hangover headache occurs from dehydration, water before during and after, also don't drink on empty stomach, but avoid very high fat foods, you want complex carbs

Stay home and pretend....——it all depends on you and your needs/tolerance.
Nothing works for everyone. Just have a good time.

Always eat something sometime during the evening. My go-to is a turkey sub from the Subway inside Casino Royale as the last event of the day (night). It's kind of a hike from Bally's where I stay so maybe the walk helps. Keep a big bottle of water on the nightstand to swig throughout the night. B-vitamins in the morning.

I prefer to sip beers most the day -
than POUND shots and drinks in an evening.
It works well for me -
I even get a workout in - my Vegas mornings.
    .
    the usual.......eat, hydrate...etc

My general rule of thumb is to make every third drink a soft one. I find that spacing it out like that helps to keep the pace of intoxication under control.

Another thing that a lot of people don't know is that part of the value of getting premium liquor (or at least not "well" quality) is that it won't hit you as hard the next morning. You won't notice much difference when you're drinking it, but you sure will when you wake up.

I'll also say to pre-prepare your hotel room before you go out. DND sign already on the door, bed cleared, pyjamas ready, and bedside equipped with a trash can on the floor and a hand towel on the table (just in case you need to throw up), and a bottle of water (and/or gatorade if you're so inclined) at the ready.

Above all else, listen to your body. If it's telling you to rest, rest. Accordingly, be sure that you haven't got any important plans early the next day, so that you can follow what your body is telling you without guilt.

It is gross but throwing up helps. That said before I go to bed I also drink a lot of water and eat something light like crackers. That way I am not dehydrated in the AM. There is a bus you can call that drives you around Las Vegas and gives you IV fluid never done that.

Let's rewind the tape and take another listen. Hmmm...the translation sounds like...."drink water"...maybe "eat something" or words to that effect.
Yeah, add in some glasses (plural...not just one per night) of water with your alcohol consumption. I'm also just guessing that we want to avoid getting puke drunk as much as we'd like to avoid hangover day.

Be careful and remember some not so nice guys could drop something in your drink when not looking.

Having spent almost 30 years as a bev manager or gm, I've been asked this many times. There is no real solution other than moderating your consumption. There are a few tips that will minimize your suffering the next day.
Know what your reasonable consumption level is and follow it.
Drink at decent pace, not fast.
Alcohol dehydrates you, so try to match a glass of water with each drink.
Avoid doing shots. These are the downfall of most drinkers. They go down quick and are reordered too soon.
Never start your night on an empty stomach. It will help you metabolize the liquor at a better rate. It might also help avoid some stomach distress.
All in all, use your head and you'll be better off.

This cannot be emphasized enough, thank you for adding this. I remember seeing this video for the first time a couple of years ago and being horrified at how sneakily it can be done... :(

Water after every drink. Pee as often as you can. Have food in your stomach before drinking and while drinking always helps. Avoid sodas, sugary drinks.
