Dogs and babies/toddlers. I lone guy walking a lap dog or with a baby carrier/stroller will need help to shoo the women away.

Not that I ever take our Pomeranian and grandson to Starbucks while my wife is napping...

I wish more people would adopt this sensible attitude but alas, there's quite a few "I'll do me and you do you" people out there who, not ironically, seem to lack the comprehension that "doing me" affects the rest of us.

Also, tell your wife thanks for what she does, nothing but the most respect for nurses in this atmosphere.

    Agree with Joe & LB9 & others.
This kind of Spring break/Cosmo atmosphere (negligence)
will encourage spread, and Discourage most sensible people from going.

Makes me sad, cuz we would All like to go. Not now....:(

Just for a bit of perspective on how busy the casinos were....they were much quieter than normal. At the craps tables they enforced the 3 to a side. Even if it was just a 4th person as a guest they made that person stand 6 ft back. All dealers wore masks and the player had different rules depending on the casinos. I posted a video from Thursday at 5 from the cosmo so you can see how busy it was. Note my cousin was the shooter and her first throw was right into the chips.

Thanks for sharing that video. Were you there Friday and was it substantially busier? It seems like it picked up on the weekend.

I've heard from several people that the video of Cosmo I shared might not be representative of crowd size as all the casinos are well under 50% capacity, but that video looked less busy than other times I've been there, even slower periods. Those aisles and the rectangular layout of Cosmo always makes that traffic flow busier through their casino.

But the no masks thing seems consistent with your video. Looks like just the 3 employees wearing masks. I think a number of us, myself included, hoped that there would be more masks worn in the casinos by the guests. That does not appear to be happening at Cosmo from what I've seen. Did you notice them in use more in one casino than another? Or downtown versus strip?

That video from Cosmo was absolutely from last week. We were inside starting around 11pm Saturday night and you’d be hard pressed to see the difference between pre-Covid and current times. Very little mask usage and a lot of people. I think once other hotels open it may spread out a bit.

Yes things definitely got busier as the weekend went on, but mostly at night. I think it also appears busier because fewer people are at the tables so more may just be hanging around or wandering and in the cosmo all of the congestion hits that one walkway from the bellagio side entrance to the tables.

Mostly masks were only worn where they were required. So everyone at the table at Caesars had them, as the pit bosses were giving them out and enforcing it. At the cosmo almost none of the players had them but they were firm on the 3 people per side rule even for spectators. Same downtown at the GN, most people customers didnt have masks.

    Well, this went poorly.

I was trying to share photos from various journalists and locals to show people what casinos looked like. Instead this derailed pretty terribly. I've warned and removed some of disinformation and most speculative posts.

But I'm closing this down to further comments. Sorry, I tried.
