I don't have "Las Vegas money", per se. When I want to go to Las Vegas (or anywhere else), I just go. But first, I go to the bank, and get a wad of cash to take with me. :D

My bankroll usually lives in the safe at home between trips. I guess I should put it in the bank if I don't plan to be back anytime soon.

I did dip into it a little bit at the start of the shut down. I was ready for a trip to River Rock Casino in BC, but that got cancelled. I took a piece of it and sent it to some people I see that I knew weren't going to be getting paid for awhile. Appreciation cards and tips went to my hair stylist, my physical therapist and my pet sitter. I also bought some Mother's Day meals for people in need from a restaurant we enjoy in another part of the state. It wasn't that much, and I'm sure it wasn't a miracle fix for any one of them, but I like to think it helped a little.

    We cancelled ALL 2020 travel.
Most of the Vegas money is in the bank.

    2nd fridge
    Nicer dishwasher
    New tires

We are taking a "wait and see" approach to spending.
*These were all things we would have purchased regardless.

Not related to a lack of travel but we bought a new vehicle three weeks ago and early last month I bought a new bike. As with insin, we were going down this path.

That reminds me that we've been talking about getting some new kitchen appliances, but we need an electrician to get out here and expand the panel in our garage as we are maxed out on power in the kitchen. As it is now, I can't make toast and coffee at the same time or I blow the circuit. Older homes are fun. o_O I wonder if I can get an electrician right now, because that would be a good use for my bankroll money.

Most of it is being used to take big chunks out of the last bits of my grad school student loans, and the rest has been on expanding my usual food choices, and delivery from local breweries.

Find a certified electrician that can work weekends and verify his stuff...for ca$h....it is not rocket science for someone in the know (for me impossible) to expand capacity.....unless aluminum wiring is involved...then maybe not.
We’ve done the same in the past with plumbers and electricians and come out ahead. Just pay a cash hourly wage commensurate with their wage. With references of course. And offer to assist as needed. Good luck.

No budgeted Vegas trips cancelled yet but we have saved more, kept more in liquid reserves, and do some home improvement stuff with money from the two vacations we missed so far.

I have been trying to save my Vegas stash but wind and hail damage from recent storms in the south is biting into it but it is not depleted. I have not spent much since the local casinos are closed so there is a cushion in the account. I must admit I have went cray with the online shopping as well.

Leave it in the safe. Heard banks in Canada will not accept US cash (as in they wont touch it). Guess too hard to disinfect it.

Still waiting on a refund for our flights. Virgin said 90 days from date of travel. That was April 8th, so we have away to go yet. I'm just hoping they don't go bust before they pay the money out.

Our hotels, car rental etc, have been refunded already. just went back to the credit card within days of cancellation.

Not going to book flights until the Visa waiver program is back in place.

My is stuck in my savings account. I add most of my OT to that. Although I haven't been able to keep quite as much as my husband is burnt out and is now refusing to take OT (unless he gets jammed). So his paychecks dropped by a sharp amount.

I have found though that with things being closed it is easier to sell items on eBay.

The cash from moms items have gone towards finishing the funeral expense for mom 1st . OMG that was over $9000 with NO visitation or service, no flowers, etc. Only the least expensive vault & casket (she'd haunt me if I did more - trust me). The 3 local funeral homes sold out to one larger out of town home over the last few years - it caused all pricing to go up considerably.

The items that are ours the money is going towards our new house/shop construction.

Bought a new AR15 and a new M&P 40 Shield 2.0, and several thousand rounds of ammo, much of which has been sent downrange already.

My previously planned Vegas trip (In April) and my next planned trip (DefCon 2020) were cancelled, so it seemed like a good use of money. :)
