Wallets... do you still carry one? Do you do anything uniquely nowadays?

Yes - I'm in the "still carry a wallet" group... and here's why:
    1. I have three credit cards, each with their own, unique purpose. (1 FSA card, 1 for groceries, gasoline & bar-tabs, 1 for hotels, restaurants & misc. purchases).
    2. AAA card for roadside assistance, Health/Dental Insurance card, ATM card, driver's license, basic-strategy card, Kroger-Plus card, proof-of-eye-surgery card (since I no longer wear corrective lenses, but my driver's still license says I do).
    3. Cash.

Yes.. many folks that have ditched wallet still carry those things. Rubber band works great. By the way, like many others, I carry it in my left front pocket. Though I do it for comfort, it does reduce pick pocket - but that is NOT the reason I do it.

As to RFID wallets - I could care less if somebody steals my credit card info.

I still carry a wallet on a daily basis; but on gambling excursions, it's my ID, one credit card, and cash all held together nicely with one of wifeys hair ties.

I shave using one of these: https://www.gentjon.com/products/gentleman-jon-deluxe-wet-shave-kit

It's more time consuming, but it's almost meditative to me in the mornings, the shave soap is an old school sandalwood scent. Much closer shave than the multi blade razors.

    I shit standing up.

Metal card holder when travelling for license, cc (2), insurance card, debit card (for ATM), NPS pass, with a metal clip for cash, though I usually just keep the cash folded in my other front pocket. If I had to choose between this and a phone, I'd leave the phone at home. My phone keeps telling me to update so I can use apple pay, but I have no desire to ever do that. My old folding leather wallet is in my top dresser drawer, and has been for several years.

I still use a wallet because there is no reason for me to stop. That said, I do not carry one in Vegas, I use a money clip in my front pocket.

I still like the feel and look of a leather wallet. My dad always carried one, my son (12) has my old one, there's something tactile about it. Not every decision to be made is purely about function/efficiency. Also have insurance cards I need for myself and the kids, and most importantly my city resident card to play Torrey Pines. I have always carried it in my front pocket, I never wanted the back problems that come with back-pocket wearing.

I carry only a few things. Two CC, Debit, Mlife/CR Card, DL, and a credit card bottle opener. This is my wallet and I highly recommend it:

I've seen the ridge wallet and other wannabes'. But Secrid wallet's are true leather and quality worthy of their price. It's more than two pieces of metal with a bungee.

I have considered ditching the wallet, but have not for various reasons, starting with not wanting to load my credit cards onto my phone, liking my magnetic case and wireless charger at home, which has no slots for id, having a few lagging membership cards which cant go electronic (as well as health card, benefits, etc), and during the winter at least still carrying some cash for transactions that are cash specific (mainly for my billiards league).

This is all stuff I could work around, but at the moment involve changes that would be more inconvenient than carrying around a wallet in the first place.

I carry my wallet when I am at home (well it is in my backpack most of the time) but when I go to Vegas, I use a money clip with my money, license, and 1 credit card in case I need it. At home I need to have more 'things' on me like local store cards and insurance cards (I have three because why wouldn't you need a medical, dental, and vision cards ).

Luckily our dental and vision are also on our medical card. But in reality - how often would most folks even use dental or vision? Though I carry mine, I also have a picture of insurance cards on my phone if needed. We do not do store cards as other cards give better points, etc. For SAMS, we have a combo credit card/membership card that I do carry. It also gives us 5% rebate on gas anywhere we go.

I have two wallets, one is my normal every day wallet and then I have one I use when I travel to Vegas since it is much better at holding the cash that I am planning on donating to the casinos. The main wallet has my drivers license, CCW permit, health insurance card and my debit card plus any cash I may have on me and a work ID card. When traveling I put my DL, CCW, health ins and debit card into my Vegas wallet which also holds all of my players cards.

Having said that, I use the mobile wallet quite a bit, anytime I can tap to pay I do, all of my loyal cards like for gas stations and such are in my digital wallet and so forth. If i could have everything mentioned above as digital items, I would not carry a wallet at all.

Everyday , I use my phone case as a wallet for ID , bank card and credit card. But when I travel, I like to use a beer koozie (fabric not foam)

Good for holding cash in pocket without getting turned into a pile of crumpled up mess or having to clumsily empty my pocket to get something. It can keep a couple loyalty cards, etc and if needed, I have a beer koozie on me. It can hold a lot or be very thin and light and hold very little.

I’ve toyed with idea of sewing magnet strips at top to allow to clasp, or putting a thin card insert inside…but admittedly I’ll never get to it…or learn to sew. Someone etsy this thing!

If the wallet was just invented, everybody would want one! Driver's license, registration, insurance cards, credit cards, scuba c-card, restaurant gift cards, and of course, cash. Yes, I also carry a smart phone, but the wallet is still a pretty handy device and doesn't need batteries!

I don't think I can get rid of my wallet. I put mine in my front pocket and have been doing so for about 13 years now. I stopped having leg/hip/back issues shortly after I switched to the front pocket. Wallet in one pocket and phone in the other pocket. So I've got three bulges in the front of my pants now. So what?

In my wallet I have my bank card, my two personal credit cards (each one for different spending purposes), my work credit card, my drivers license, my costco membership card, my airmiles card, my AMA(CAA, same as AAA) card, then three rewards cards for different stores... I suppose I can eliminate them by putting them on my phone though. Then I have cash. Especially during hockey season since I'm the money collector in my weekly pickup game. I also carry my health care card, my benefits card and a copy of each of my kids' health cards. I carry a few items that I may need "just-in-case". Like my kids' health care cards and the benefits card. I still wouldn't give up my wallet thought.
