Logged in CET this morning and noticed updated pricing, and in many cases, Ballys is comped practically anytime I want to go out there. I have never stayed there, and not familiar (Only stayed at PH and CP recently with CET).

Anything that people can share is welcome, along with perhaps an MLife comparable hotel.

It's a solid midrange option with relatively large standard rooms. On site dining options are fine; nothing super impressive (but given the location, that doesn't matter too much). If I had to compare it to the MLife hierarchy, it's probably equivalent to Luxor or NYNY. Not at all fancy, but not the most entry level option either.

I'm going to post to follow this, sorry LVRaiders :).
I'm staying there this June and all I can say about the place is that BLT was pretty damn good. Just need to watch for the $15 a bottle of Fiji water instead of tap, lol. That's all I know about Bally's.
From a recent post I made, it seems like the rooms are larger than other hotels. They're also newly renovated, and that the Jubilee room is the one to stay in vs the resort room.

Good to know - I will consider it if I can find some good pricing on flights for a weekend getaway in April

I've stayed there several years back and the rooms were spacious and actually had some comfortable chairs. That trip I was sick all 5 days I was there and so having that nice room was a godsend. I had one that faced toward the ferris wheel north and right along the main street. Was maybe 20th floor or above and heard zero noise, ever.

If you are in the Indigo Tower (the North Tower) it is a long walk to the Strip. Most comparable is probably MGM Grand, although the last part of your walk will be outdoors through the Grand Bazzar Market. If you're heading north, you can go out the side door, cross Flamingo and walk through The Cromwell instead. If you're heading south, you can stay indoors and walk through the connection to Paris.

The location is about the best thing going for them. The food options are a weak point for me, followed very closely by their elevators (super slow). Gambling situation is pretty strange there, I stayed in early Feb. and several completely empty BJ tables at $50 min, asked to do $25 and they refused. Slots are also pretty odd, a lot of worn down slots and a lack of higher limit. I hate to keep beating them down, but I am not sure they would be mid-level on Fremont.

Solid well priced property, showing a little grey hair, in a great location.

Rooms are all, for the most, part recently renovated iirc.

Food options are solid mid range choices - BLT, Burger Basier, NOBU, Sterling Brunch...

Last time I was there, we had friends that stayed at Bally's in a suite it was spacious, (1700 sq ft) clean, and modern..Had a good time in the casino, decent CW service.

Until the fucking I got from CET regarding my upcoming October trip, Ballys was teetering between first and second choice as far as places to stay..

We've stayed in Bally's 4 times until we switched to the Flamingo 2 years ago. Nothing against Bally's, but I like the Flamingo poker room more and we enjoyed being closer to the Linq area. Our Bally's rooms never felt cramped and were really quite large for a standard room. We always stayed in the Indigo/North tower (I forgot the current name), but there's quick access to all parts of the place. It's not over-the-top exiting in the casino, but there's plenty to play in a nice size place.

Depending on what you like to do, for me it's one of my favorites.

Good Variety of table and slot / poker machines, small high limit area, and I would argue the best cocktail service in vegas. Also 2 bars (maybe 3 now) that have the best bartenders in town as well. Treat them right and you will never go thirsty in vegas again.

I disagree with the previous poster who complained of lack of food options - maybe "higher end" options, but what Bally's doesn't have is very close by. Nosh, next to the poker room is one of my favorites - great breakfast sandwhiches, and salads / sandwiches throughout the day. there is a small food court in the basement (go all the way to the back of the casino and down escalators) where there are some shops, frozen custard, Nathan's hot dogs, Sbarro, and an asian place. This is also the way you get to the pool and/or monorail. The pool is also quite nice (actual multiple pools) with large deck area.

Out front in the Bazaar shops there are some resteraunts as well that offer Italian/pizza (Giordano's), fried chicken, etc

Bally's is also connected to Paris via a promenade which has multiple restaurants (mostly good) as well as the paris buffet.

Across from check in is a small cafe/coffee shop similar to a generic starbucks that has a lot of nice offerings, and just beyond check in is a convienience/liquor store.

As far as the elevators, I have never found them to be slow - the only somewhat confusing thing is they have divided the elevators up so elevators on one side of the bank can only access the lower floors, while the elevators on the other side access the higher floors. This is true of all of the towers. Just check your room number the first time you are looking for which bank of elevators to take and you should be good to go.

As has been discussed in another thread most VMB'ers agree that you shouldn't waste your money on the Sterling Brunch!

My go to CET hotel. Connected to Paris so no outside walk in the hot summer months.
Like the restaurants. BLT Steak(get coupon), Sea Thai. Noahs for sandwiches and morning coffee and Danish although I love MAG at Paris on the patio.
Jubilee tower. Get high floor, odd number room and you will get view of strip and fountains. Although other tower has more resent remodel.

Of course Ballys has it flaws, but for most this place will do a good job. It is not high end, but the location is great in the middle of the strip, and its connected to Paris. They have cheaper options to eat, and higher end places to eat in BLT or Mon Ami gabi in Paris. The rooms arent high end, but pretty big for a standard room and the renovations are less than 10 years old for all rooms. Some are less than 5 years I think. They also almost always have a 10.00 craps table or more, and 15 min BJ with 3/2. Paris will also have these kind of tables so it is easy to get a little cleaner casino floor there with not walking outside. The high limit area almost always has multiple 50.00 min tables with stand on 17. Sometimes its as low as 25.00. It is never too packed up there so easy to get a table by yourself if you like, or semi full table also. Drink service on the floor is hit or miss. Not as fast as Cromwell, but not as slow as Flamingo as times. Cromwell is also very close so if you want a higher end gambling place to play with better drinks that come faster, it is a quick walk out the side door. If you want a quick bite like Sbarro or Johnny Rocket, they have that on the bottom floor that the elevator can you to from your room floor. The sportsbook is down there also and is very big and usually not busy. There are plenty middle of the road restaurants also between Ballys, Paris and the Brazzer are outside. If you are someone that is used to a place like Venetian, Aria, Bellagio, Wynn etc, then it fails in comparison, but similiar to NYNY, Monte Carlo before the renovations to NOMAD. Dealers are usually decent there. Ive had a couple grumpy ones at craps and Bj, but usually most are fine.

If you like table games, and prefer to play in a relatively quiet area, or alone, specifically baccarat, this is a decent place. They start at $50 mini, but will turn the table into midi for you by request, and if you bet $100. You will most likely be playing alone the way that table is tucked away. When I stayed and played at Paris, I discovered this, and I liked it.

I think the crowd is trashier than Paris, and when I say trashy, I don't mean that in a derogatory manner. I mean trashy in the way I like it, and Las Vegas was largely intended to be.

Rooms - great for the price.
    Location - can't be beat.
    Resort - complete nothingburger.

Whenever I stay there I just use it as a crash pad. Literally walk from the elevators to the valet non-stop. Then it's out to center strip to play and party at all the great resorts surrounding it.

One of the best on the strip for an older Vegas vibe. I agree about the lackluster food options, although the Bazaar shops outside probably brought an entirely new element to that. You really can't beat the location. The casino has felt the same for decades. The rooms are spacious but utterly uninspired. They are very comfy, but not at all swanky. If I had to sum up every part of the Bally's experience in one word, the word for me would be "adequate."

Bally's is ok for a stay. The slot floor is decent in my opinion. I was not a fan of the "renovated" Resort Tower rooms. BLT is very good as long as you get a good server. If you are Diamond or 7 Star, you can usually check in early without that "early check in fee" nonsense.

It's a good location for other properties and free makes it better. Personally, I won't stay there again but I will play there.

Compared to MGM resorts I can say the entry level rooms (the overall cheapest) are better than Circus Circus, Excalibur, Luxor, NYNY, and MGM. Just look at the pictures of those standard rooms and you will see.

Based on resort then the ranking compared to MGM resorts will be similar except that MGM will without a doubt beat Bally's overall.

Bally's is however the best deal being center strip and at the intersection of LV Blvd/ Flamingo. I always boast how large their rooms are and fairly modern looking. If the resort isn't your cup of tea than just use it for the room and play at the many other CET properties walking distance.
