Look at my countdown timer. Time is slowing down as I get more excited. Luckily, for me, work-wise, it will be very fast weeks. I have two four day work weeks. One of them is all day state testing, almost every day. So not much to plan for as a teacher.

But damn! Am I ready for Vegas?! I already bought new shoes, have clothes picked out, keep checking the weather in hopes of swimming weather, toiletries purchased, each day planned out on Google sheets, etc!

No. It speeds up. I have a lot to do, and I need to get it done to the extent I can before I leave.

Lately we have been booking trips less than 3 months out like 75 days, so the time goes by quickly. I feel like the last week goes by too fast with packing and finalizing any plans along with getting everything organized at work for while we are away.

You know what doesn't go quickly? The week at work after you get back. In my case I'm on day 4 of 12 in a row. Talk about slow.

It's really hard for me to enjoy my trips knowing that what I haven't finished what I've been working on and/or without giving myself a cushion for when I get back. The two weeks before are usually a blur because I'm living at work. I got to say though, it's a damn good feeling to have a clear desk when I leave the office and head to the airport.

Time slows down leading up to the trip and then seems to fly by the entire time we are in Vegas.

It feels like my countdown timer had been stuck on the same amount of days for a few days now. I'm still a long ways out!

Yes, I would say I experience a similar 'slow-down' just prior to a Vegas trip. Then I start thinking about how fast the damn trip will pass once I get there and that's depressing too haha But not more depressing than looking at my current countdown timer

Time doesn't slow down for me before my trips but man does it go by like a rocket when I'm there.

It always slows for me too.
Even moreso this trip as the stupid virus cases go up daily.

Time is like a stand still while waiting, the day off and flight seem like a full day even though its only 4 hours. Once there, I wonder what happened to the time, and with the time going by so far, I have found my money sticks to the time, its gone just that quick.

I try not to book my trips any further out than 5 weeks. The last two days of work before a trip drag but up to that point is business as normal. Usually I’m looking forward to skiing every weekend so that helps. Today though...it’s been rough.

Yep! I too will be there for March Madness—2 nights at Bally's and 2 nights at Wynn. But before that, spending a week in AZ for some spring training—five games in six days. I'm 72 but not worried about the coronavirus, at least not much. Probably will stay away from the tables in Vegas, but I think the Racebook/Sportsbook should be fine. Wipe stuff down first. Avoid coughers, etc.

Then it sucks for us that "time goes slow before a trip" and also "goes by like a rocket"

I still book all my trips via CET portal in advance as opposed to the member who books within 5 weeks only. Don't want to risk low playing on a bad day and getting the rooms I like removed from comp status on the booking calendar.

For me, time is usually slowly passing the weeks leading up to my trip. But the week of my trip seems to fly by so sometimes I feel like I'm not ready to go yet (but I go anyway).

But like others, when I get to vegas it seems like time flies by very quickly and suddenly it's time to go home.
