Does anyone have a favorite dealer. Before my last trip I was usually fine with whoever was behind the cards. On my trip in January some dealers just seemed burnt out or unwilling to have fun. I like to joke around and talk to the dealers and learn about them. My favorite ended up being an older dealer at Park MGM. She was a riot and had the whole table laughing while she took our money. Our Blackjack table was the only one full in the entire place. Everyone was having a great time and the floor person came over and told her to shut up and deal. Loud enough we could all hear. She immediately stopped mid deal and went off on him. You could tell she had done this long enough she knew she could do what she wanted. I don’t wanna name her but I made sure to seek her table out the rest of my trip and to tip her well.

When I go back in May I’ll be looking for her again.

So Does anyone else have a dealer they visit every session or trip?

I did in AC quite a few years ago at Harrahs.. An Asian guy who looked like the actor Jackie Chan but older..
I was tipping frequently as usual, just playing a dollar for the dealer is all,and he would recognize me..
Hands that needed advice if I did not ask him,he would say 'Are you sure? Basically telling me to do the opposite of what I was going to do..
That reply helped for a couple sessions but it's always the way the cards fall isn't ?

I was at the Wynn at the summer and I sat down at a $25 BJ table after lunch. I was the only one at the table and would be for the next two hours.. The dealer was nice and we started talking. The pit boss joined in and we all had a great conversation. The cards were being dealt much slower than usual because we were talking about all sorts of things and joking around. I had a wonderful time and ended up about 2k ahead. The dealer made out well and they both thanked me for the tips and making their day go by faster. It was evident that the pit boss rated my play higher than deserved. When I go back to the Wynn this year, I will look for them again. It made a nice leisurely afternoon of gambling.

Given my favorite place to play is PH with the Pleasure Pit dealers my wife would tell you that my favorite dealer is likely "the one with the biggest boobs". :) I do try to make it clear to her that is only "1 factor" that I consider. :)

Seriously I do pay attention to dealers and try to pick out dealers that are both skilled (I hate slow games) and that have some personality. I want a dealer that will interact with the table - but somewhat in response to the original post I don't really like it when dealers talk so much that they stop the game to tell their stories.

I do go to LV 2-3 times a year so if I find a dealer I like I will seek them out on future trips (or future nights on the same trip). I have had a couple favorites at PH that I got to know a little bit - enough so they would recognize me as well. Both have moved on - one to an office job at a different casino and the other moved out of LV with her boyfriend. There are some other dealers there that I know and like (and some I don't like so much) but none that I would currently call my "favorite". I also play quite a bit at Cromwell and have had some great dealers there - but never seem to be able to find the same ones when I go back. Dealing blackjack in Vegas is generally not a "long-term" career (well maybe it is at Caesars where there are some really old dealers - but not at PH in the Pleasure Pit for sure) - so there is a lot of transition and having a favorite for multiple trips is pretty rare as a result.

Yes, at Harrahs. He went by Speed and now is a pit critter with his moniker being Bump. It's true.

I'm a big fan of Michele, a craps dealer at Bellagio. She can come across as surly and won't take crap from anyone, but once she gets to know a player, she really pulls for you. I always try to play at her table a few times on every trip.

In vegas I play where I can get in if its packed or what table is hitting numbers I like, other than that I cant really remember any dealers besides this one hot Asian at Ballys who backhand slapped me across the chest when I hit a number with about $50 straight up,lol I really didnt even know she spun the ball yet

In New Orleans had one dealer could tell you where the ball would land, he was good, he got walked out lol

lastly a guy still there name Silton, made lots of money with him, he was coming to Vegas with us one year as we became friends outside of the Casino, day before the trip he calls and says he cant make it, he got robbed...some people make up excuses why they will miss the trip, just be honest there will be another...he sends me a pic of him in the hospital. he said someone asked for change, he was going to give them some, when he reached in his pocket they beat him. broke his arm and collarbone. 3 surgeries and he was out over a year, I told him the casino put a hit on him because we were winning too much...he does cards mostly know but can only do roulette on left hand wheels

I have my favorites at my favorite casinos and I always look for them.

When I see them I make eye contact, smile, and wave at them.

I don’t know their names, and they don’t know mine but I prefer it that way.

When I buy in they look at my card then start calling me by name but I don’t expect them to remember it. They do remember my face, though.

There is one dealer at the Cal, though. An awesome craps dealer.

His name is Taz. He remembers me but by face only.

I go 3-4 times a year and there is a dealer at the Flamingo who always recognizes me and calls me by name. It’s at the $25 3/2 BJ table. I don’t particularly like her but it’s funny she remembers me.

Benny @ Ceasars, he said he was there when it opened. Told some of the best stories! First played at a 3CP table w/him 3 years ago and he was still there last year. Hope he is there this year.

Yes, "Sparkle" at DTG who deals blackjack during the day. She's a lot of fun and tolerates my drunk by noon ramblings pretty well.

Mine is an older Asian lady who was dealing Mississippi Stud at the Linq. I forgot her name but she was hysterical. She was constantly cracking dirty jokes, using foul language and telling us TMI about her husband. She was a riot.

RESPECT! She must like you because you treat her nicely. I find it amazing that dealers can remember your name, much less your face considering the thousands of people that they interact with.

She considers you a special customer.
