Everyone has their own behaviors. I am definitely not in this camp. Having spent years babysitting steel mills in NY state where everything was either germ laden or just plain nasty I got used to being surrounded by filth.

Me too. Working years in the construction industry, I was either eating lunch in red dirt encrusted concrete slabs with termite treated studs still oozing the stuff or in a concrete dust storm on the 23rd floor of a high rise with grease from threading conduit all over my body.

But still, I made an effort to try my best to wash my hands and face and cover my lunch so concrete, grease, or red dirt don't mess it up too much.

In Vegas especially I try to keep my hands clean. Those chips and machines are nasty.

I'm reminded of something I saw just a few days ago: Parked at a light and in the car behind me are two gals with masks on. Then one starts rubbing her eyes.

You can only do so much. I dont think people realize how often they touch their eyes, mouth, and nose in a given time frame.

I don't typically worry about germs. However, I will be wiping down the airplane seat from now on. A group of about 8 people from my office went to a convention in Vegas and every single one of them came home sick. So we assume it was the airplane.

With everything we see on planes now from people controling screens with their feet to emotional support gerbils running around the plane you can't be too careful. We have started to wipe down the tray and surroundings on the plane, but that is as far as we go...now

'designer' and branded facemasks surely coming soon ? I'm surprised multi coloured ones at least not out yet. Although the majority of them are ineffective after 30 mins, a ridiculous fashion might be on its way..........

My wife wipes down everything on the plane. I feel serviced. :) But when flying alone I do it 50% at best. Fortunately I haven’t submitted. But I don’t get a flu shot either.
    I’m due. :woot:

Add on, reccomended by a nutritionist. To combat dry mouth on planes, chewable Vitamin C tablets (I use Walgreens). Dissolve them under your tongue. Work great.

A lot of times I do it unconsciously.

With so little time between when a plane lands and then takes off again, there is a very small window to clean the plane properly. So it is a good idea to wipe a bit here and there.

Wipes come with us when we travel too. The tray table and belt buckle on the plane, remotes, door handles and light fittings in the room.

I have had immune system issues since I was a teenager. I'm often on immune suppressant drugs for extended periods of time. It's just easier to have a regular travel routine than have to remember it only when you need it.

I also agree with the nasal spray for moisture, but it's not easy to get in a small size in the UK. We usually buy one as soon as we arrive in Las Vegas.

No backpackers on this board, apparently.

So does anyone go to the bathroom in Las Vegas, or do you all just hold on until you get home?
