I’ve just managed to reach VIP Level 4, after getting from 20,000 crowns at Level 3, to the 40,000 target. I’ve now seen I need another 35,000 to get to Level 5 which is set at 75,000 points.

    But...

It says my VIP points will reset to 0 in 34 days but my Level will remain for an additional 90 after that. Am I right in assuming that means my points balance drops back to a flat ZERO?! If so that would mean if I want to get to Level 5 I have 90 days to get 75,000 - in other words starting from scratch?

It seems very harsh to me having spent so much time and effort (and some money) getting to this point and of course I’m not the only one in this situation.

Yes, VIP Points reset to 0 after 90 days. You will keep your level for the next 90 days afterward. You have to keep re-earning your levels each 90 day period.

If you don't plan to book rooms soon, keeping a high VIP level is questionable imo. Depends on how much you're spending.

    Thanks for the confirmation.

I’m in Vegas in August and looking to get 3 free nights so the VIP discount will come in handy, but I’m not going to bust a gut trying to get another 35,000 VIP points just for another 5% discount (around 500 gems saving for the dates I want).

If the points reset for me in 34 days then I have another 90 at my current level, that takes me to the start of June to get the 3,000 extra gems I currently need for 3 nights.

That's typical and normal of any program. For WS, it easier to maintain your level due to the higher VIP points given at levels 3-5. At level 4, it wouldn't be hard to maintain. But to advance to level 5, you're going have to put in some work.

Since you're sitting comfortably at level 4 now, you can rest and not bother with it until the cycle resets and then grind on it again. I'd just get the easy scratchers just to build up your bankroll. No reason to complete the events now since you don't really need it.

I wouldn’t bother trying for level 5. It’s only an extra 5% discount and unlike lower levels, it is very difficult to maintain without spending money.

Yes, this is also how casino programs, airline programs, and hotel programs work... They give you status based on earning periods, and let you keep your status for the following period after you earn it, but they reset your counts for the next earning period.

However, one thing different about this game is every time you earn another vip level, they increase your earning rates, so in your next earning period you have a better chance of gaining the next level, even though they reset your VIP points to 0.

I agree with others. Level 5 isn't worth it.

Generally I'd agree. Not counting special event bonus VIP points, it takes 84.7 days of collecting every single 3-hour and 12-hour scratcher and completing every one of the 6 daily scratcher events to hit 75000 points without spending. That's 94.1% over the 90-day period, and isn't practical for most people.

If you were going to redeem a LOT of gems for rooms in a 90/180 day period, it might be worth it, but I haven't seen a lot of VIP5 people (if any) in the FB group saying they're going to maintain.

By comparison, VIP4 takes 45.1 perfect collection days (or 50.1% of collections) to maintain. I've seen a couple of people hit "maintain" on VIP4 in the past day or two.

Thats a great summary, thanks for the calculations as that’s confirmed what others have been saying.

I’ll continue playing the daily scratcher games, but mainly as an effort to build my coin balance so I can use it towards hitting my gems goal.

I’m now 32,600 away from L5 but won’t go spending or trying too hard to get there - as all it would do is save me 500 gems on the 4 night stay I’m after. I can make up those extra gems fairly easily over 2-3 days anyway.

Do you lose the jewels every 90 days if you don't book a room or do a buffet during that time? I will not be going for 4 months.

You don't lose gems at all.

SH0CK is correct. Gems and coins/credits don't expire (or at least they never have and there's no indication they will).

Also note that your VIP level only matters when you book, not when you walk into the Wynn. So if you're VIP2 now and book a reward, and then drop below VIP2, your reward reservation is still good. If you cancel, you'd have to be VIP2 or higher to rebook a room though. Same for VIP1 and buffets.

Hi. I started collecting a few weeks ago. Spent a few dollars and got myself to VIP level three with enough gems for a night or two. However i logged in today and my VIP level has gone down to zero. Is this right? I thought i would have 90 days. Thanks for any help

This happened to my partner. She just emailed support and they gave her vip back. They said it was an update issue.
