    Hey all,

Have been looking to get myself a ‘home’ downtown, as have always stayed and played on the Strip  have decided on the D and have booked and am looking at paying for a D suite for a couple of nights on my upcoming trip.

My daily bankroll is $2K, which I basically play in slots all day until I either lose it or need to sleep :D true degeneracy!

Anyway, on the Strip this often generates me a decent amount of coin in and no problem getting comps. I have a host at Caesars and Cosmo who take good care of me (well my Cosmo host is much better but that’s another story!). I’m just wondering what I can expect from the D with this rough level of play, and also if the D is the best property to be giving it to comp wise.

Thanks in advance for any feedback

The D has good restaurants associated with it above the ones in the casino and the suites are very nice. There has been some changes to comps lately and others have reported no changes. The D and GG have separate offers shared comps and I wouldn’t waste my time with GG. I don’t want a room with a swamp cooler and what the heck is with the reported motion activated AC in their suites? If you look back in the thread earlier is it one card I believe was called there are a lot of views on it. Give it a try and meet a host while you are there. It’s a couple nights and if you don’t like throw some at something other than Boyd. I’m thinking about trying the El Cortez. I like their cabana rooms. As long as you like the modern slots rather than the oldie ones it’s enjoyable at the D. Plus they have Sigma Derby.

That was my budget with them several years ago and it garnered me a host and enough to cover a suite for 4 days, more food than I could eat and decent (few hundred) in free play per month. They have been slowly downgrading their offers, but Steven's seems to love his slot players. Give some solid play a few days and visit the hosts' office.

Last December, I played around $ 7000 coin-in on video poker (700 points) for 2 days, my offer now is: "Club Rate Based on Availability - $ 10 Food & Beverage Credit". I don't know if this is normal, but it's my experience with the D. Oh yeah, and I did play BJ for about 2 hours total at 25$/hand.

I am relatively new to The D but that level of play IMO will make you one of the higher tier players and should result in a good host and good offers. It'll all about coin in of course, but a daily bankroll of $2k for slots is likely IMO on the high end for The D. That BR would get you attention at Wynn as a slot player.

I don't remember my coin in but I earned $300+ in comp dollars over just two days with slot play. (I lost about 2k and then did a lot of churning on that with a couple of small hand pays over the course of two days, eventually breaking even (and my Win/Loss from there just confirmed that!) A few months later that got me $700 in slot play and RFB (the latter I never used) for three months in a row and an excellent host. My opinion is based in part on what a host shared with me. I think $500+ theo a day gets a higher end host though I believe hosts can be assigned to slot players with theos in the $200+ range.

I haven't played that hard at The D since then and, as expected, my March and April offers dropped considerably but they are still pretty good. For those months I have $150 each in free play and match plays and food comps at the The D (a total of $450 in comps) and $100 in free play at Golden Gate based on some limited play in terms of time but $25/hand VP (Ultimate X in quarters x 10 hands) last July. On top of that I have $500 in earned comps I can use at one of about a half dozen restaurants.

The nicest perk of The D that I like is that it has a suite in T Mo arena. I've gone to a concert and a hockey game through my most, who I really like. I also like the fast accumulation of points. I'm going to be using a lot when I take some family and friends to dinner at Le Thai or Pizza Rock in April.

And I booked a suite for one night in late December. It was VERY nice. I'm pretty much wedded to Wynncore but on my long trip in late June/early July, I'm planning to spend the night at The D one evening.

I had almost exactly the same play in December and have the same offer.

That's interesting. I had somewhat similar play on my card this January - 950 points on video poker over 3 days (hubs and I both played using my card).

My March-April offer just received is 2 nights in March and 3 in April at either The D or a Golden Gate suite. $30 food, $30 match play and $40 free slot play.

Just to clarify, my play was about 700 points per day over 2 days so 1400 total.

^^Well that doesn't make sense. You should be getting better offers than me.

I'll double check my math on points received.

I'm a $5K average(500 pts) per day coin in strictly VP player. Even before FP, points and coupons there is only a small expected loss on the play. I find this gets 4 night monthly offers with FP, food, and MP's. The offers have gone up slightly to include $75 FP, $100 MP, and $45 food. My "average" has started to include a no play day and a $10K day. I suspect, but don't know, that this helps. I have been spending a LOT of time at the D and have been on a losing streak there, so YMMV.
My "home" is probably QQQQ's, but their bimonthly offers don't began to cover my room requirements for 2 to 3 week trips. When Boyd and EC kicked me to the curb, I was so glad that I had seeded D and GG. I think that you will be pleased with your choice OP.

@gambler... the D offers are always inconsistent for me, ranging from 3 nights in a suite with food and FP, to casino rate and nothing more, and that without my play changing.

When I last went to Vegas in December, I had an offer for 3 nights, freeplay, matchplay and food, and I didn't use it because I stayed at the GN, but I went there the 2 days to play VP (1400 pts), then on my return I only had "Club Rate Based on Availability - $ 10 Food & Beverage Credit".

Maybe in 1 month I will have an offer for 3 nights in a suite again, I stopped wanting to understand. I like to play the D so I don't care about their nonsense.

The same applies to their host, I had Richard Wilk and sometimes he called me to offer me a suite, the other time he did not answer my emails for 2 months, then after he gave me the limo and VIP service (I used to play more back then, but still)

Had $1,300 coin in on slots in a day last September as a new member and didn’t even get a teaser offer from them.

Did you have any history there prior to this? I've had a couple of short drop-in days over the past couple years that I think still hurt my offers.

Oh... mine was 700 split across the two gambling days (plus the blackjack). I wasn't staying there if that affects The D offers.

With that bankroll I’d play at the golden nugget. We dropped in for 2 hours a few months ago and are now getting free rooms, tournaments and $600 in freeplay for April.

Whereas we did a drop in at the D with the same level of play and are getting $20 in freeplay and a $10 food credit.
