I am sure this has been reported by some of our NOLA folks, but I must have missed it...[IMG]

um, yea for many years....diamond 4 drinks, 7* 8 drinks...small lounge, it keeps you from sitting there and drinking all day, go play and get your drinks free or walk to one of the many bars with a tip and card and get a free drink...drinks reset and midnight

Being a non-alcohol drinker, I completely missed the point of that post.

    Could someone 'splain please?

At the diamond lounge in NOLA they don't have an unlimited open bar for drinks. They give you 4 free drinks (8 if you're 7*) and that's it. Very limiting if you're in there watching a game drinking beer or just if you want to spend a couple of hours socializing.

They have had that limit for quite some time, but I have never seen that napkin before.

It is a small lounge and often has a line outside. Actually surprised it does not always have a line.

I believe that is a drink ticket.

I liked the lounge better when they had the food selection menu, and Jimmy behind the bar. I could spend 3 hours at the bar on Sunday when they opened and watch a game and eat and drink. That was usually the day I was traveling home in the evening.

Recent trips I hardly go in there. It just seems to have gone downhill.

Im good friends with Jimi, been knowing him for many years. actually talked with him this morning...if you want to see him, he is the Manager/Bartender at Morrows on the corner of St.Claude and Music

when we met few years back, the drink ticket system was in place for a few years already, its nothing new...if you simply tip the server or bartender, you will get more than your limit but within reason, they do have a way to cover the extra drinks.

Meanwhile... can you all imagine the crazy things happening in New Orleans when LSU takes on Clemson?

Good time to stay home for the locals.

It was just my little rant. The drink ticket implies 4 ticket limit for Diamond & 7 Star. I had a guest with me, so 2 drinks each. Also, all drinks in the casino are served in plastic cups. Not how I like my cocktails. So much for “going green” at Harrah’s [emoji849]

not all drinks in the casino are served in plastic. many bars, yes, but the lounge offers glass, they offer you a plastic cup to leave the room as if you dont return the glass, when its picked up on the floor outside the lounge, it goes to another department and its hard to get them back...

you can also get glass at signature bar, poker bar and the bar inside of the buffet

a tip upfront goes a long way, I always go over the limit and have not been denied a drink yet

the rain has been terrible most of the day, finally stopped by me about an hour ago

several lounges that are Indian run, like Cherokee are no free drinks period, even if you are playing you pay

Actually you don't have to be 7*, but do need 50k+ pts for adult beverages and "special" food at Harrahs N KC
More consistency between lounges would be nice.

Yea, many states have opted to protect us by not serving drinks. Remember some of the early "boat" days when they actually had to leave the dock? There was at least one state that actually had a limit on how much you could "donate" at one time. Or Tunica where all the casinos are sort of on the river. Many just have a little stream that runs inland and they built on the land next to it.
