Harrah's Lake Tahoe says a coffee maker is included.

    1) Do they include free coffee, or do you have to pay for coffee pods, like Vegas?

    2) Does anyone know what types of pods they use? Keurig style or flat pods? If free, I don't care, but if they charge I want to bring pods. Thanks all!

Funny thing...my wife and I were at Harrahs Tahoe at the end of September. I read your question and asked my wife "there was a coffee maker in the room at Tahoe??" I don't remember one there and neither did she. We went through our room pictures and didn't see one in our King room. If it was in there, it was well hidden!

Thanks so much @idtwins ! If they don't have one, then it makes my coffee pod question even easier....I might just bring a teenie travel one. Thanks so much again!

I was at Harrah's Tahoe last week and was shocked to find a Keurig in my room. I promptly walked down to a local grocery store to buy my favorite pods.

I understand. Those pods most likely cost $5 each. Best bring your own pods. More money for happiness.

Or . . . tip the housekeeper $5 and ask and she will give you 4 or so.

Does this mean it wasn't expected to be present at all or you didn't expect Keurig? I honestly didn't know a maker was supposed to be in the room but I also don't look for that when deciding what to book. Maybe it's a recently added amenity? Or I guess we just got shorted one coffee maker :D

It's been Keurig for at least the last 2 years. That's what they replaced the "other" single serve units with.

When there was a Keurig in my room at Tahoe, I recall there were always complimentary capsules there. Maybe they were "executive" rooms or some such allegedly above average type of room where there was a coffee machine in the room.

If you are Diamond, above 25,000 Tier credits, you can always go to the Harrah's Laurel Lounge and get free coffee and hot chocolate 24/7 from the machine. Just make sure to get a Laurel Lounge key card from the nearby High Limit slot attendant. That's where I go whether or not there is a coffee machine in my room as I enjoy a mocha in the morning.

Thank you all SOOO much! I just ordered a new box of my SFB Fog Chaser pods, just in case we have one in the room....and I'll pack a cup too! Not a morning person, so this would be a HUGE plus. :)

As a side note the Beau Rivage in Biloxi now has single cup Keurig coffee makers in their rooms. They leave two pods and a couple of creams in cups plus some sweetner. On our 7 December trip we will bring decaf pods, extra creamers and our own sweetners. Wife is not a morning person either and wants decaf...

Update, hit Harrahs Tahoe for the first time. No coffee maker in room. BUT if you call and request one, they WILL bring one, no charge as of now.

Ours (three different rooms/requests) were a standard small pot but they do not charge for the coffee discs. I drink my coffee black, and was fine with their coffee.... and very happy it was free.

So, if hitting Tahoe, just call housekeeping and request one!

Well, what is it? Keurig in room at Harrah’s or not? Two different reports.

I have Keurig in Harrahs Tahoe room 1501. But lot of gunk inside which made coffee bitter.

My wife and I bring a small Nespresso espresso machine and pods with us on our travels. Fits fine in a piece of our carry-on and we're all set for our morning coffee without the trouble or expense of going downstairs for coffee.

Certainly not one of the brighter sides of Vegas (or anywhere else for that matter), but I've read some disgusting things that people do to the in-room coffee makers :grrr:.
