I just loaded the RTCSNV app today. Does anyone know the Stop ID for the airport where you can catch the 108, 109 and WAX going North?

Edit: I found it online. It is Stop ID 1785.

I'm considering taking the bus back from Jerry's as I'm familiar with where that bus stop is located. I'm a bit concerned about the area and what length of walk it might be from the closest bus stop to the canopy area. Can anyone advise? Will it be fairly easy to ascertain which direction to walk from that bus stop (Carson @ 4th)? Is there a rear entrance to any casino or business that I can access from there that deposits me onto Fremont Street? I really want to release my cajones and try this in a few weeks!

@tee6395 It should be easy. Carson and 4th is very close to the back entrance to The D, right where the little pool is.

Can you actually enter there? I've never been to the pool even though I've stayed there 53413131 times - lol. You know I'm from a large city, but feel anxious when I carry cash and am alone. Trying to get the "lay of the land" in that area. Also, would like to just understand how to get back into the "thick of things" on Fremont. Thanks for your help!

You just walk past the pool and go into the valet entrance. It’s really not far at all.

I tried to add a google map photo but I’m obviously a Luddite. Couldn’t manage it. Will try tomorrow on my laptop.

Tee, it appears that the 113 would stop at LV Blvd at Carson on the way back from Jerrys Nugget.
Attached is my rudimentary attempt to draw on the map.

Not sure if this will help but you would have 2 options to get back to Fremont Street... 8D4CB82F-6B4A-4D32-A06E-A6BC6BA11792.jpeg

Thank you @Fet297 and @pebbles so much. I know I'm overthinking and being a big baby, but I really am so directionally challenged. Literally can't find my way out of a paper bag and don't want to meander in a location that I am unfamiliar with.

The only time I've been to Jerry's was when I rented a car for a coupon run several years back. We were approached twice on the way back to the car by different homeless people. Inside the casino I was making $20 bets at blackjack and the pit boss was sweating the action so much I wondered if I was going to break the bank. That being said, I'd still venture over via a Lyft for a good free play offer. What exactly is the offer?

@Tee you will love Jerry's. My niece and I went there, when I was helping her find an apt. and the casino is nice, the cafe really good and the employees so friendly.

You should have no problems taking the bus from Jerry's back to Fremont in the daytime. And the bus stop at 4th and Carson is right by the back entrance at the D, like @pebbles said. She is correct, literally about a minute away and I walk slow.

Like you, I have no sense of direction at all, I can get lost in my own driveway, so I feel your pain when it comes to getting your bearings. You will see a sign for the D and the valet, if I remember correctly. Just follow the crowd that gets off the bus, that's what I did, and then laughed at how anxious I was about it, when I discovered how simple it was. I also over think everything. No wonder I have a heart condition.

Good luck and win big at Jerry's.

    Hi Pebbles,
Well I downloaded the RTC app and couldn't figure out how to use it. Yes, I am techy challenged. LOL So I uninstalled it and now will just use my brain in using the bus system. Lord I am in trouble. LOL

I have been to Jerry's multiple times, but I Lyfted and once my hubs drove with a rental. I want to try the bus to have more of an adventure...plus I tend to utilize public transportation in other cities that I travel to, but never in Vegas. It has been on my list of things to get comfortable with for quite some time. Thanks for the recommendation though!

As for your thoughts on the stop on 4th at Carson - thanks. I like hearing reassurances from as many as possible. I'm not a "fraidy-cat" kind of girl, but am always anxious when I carry cash as I don't do that IRL. I got very lucky and watched somebody's vlog where they actually ended up showing that area and how they got to the D's pool from there. I now feel very confident that I can find it! :lock:

It is easy to find and I'm anxious as well when it comes to the bus, other than the strip. LOL I'm even more worried about using Lyft and I know that is stupid, but until I just suck it up and actually use it, I will be a worry wort. LOL My fear is, with Lyft, I will do something wrong, and then I will look really dumb. LOL I'm all ready in the "I Love Lucy" category of life. Just ask my hubs. LMAO :kill:

In most larger cities, I frequently use public transit, but my one experience with the LV bus (as in only once this lifetime, thank you) swore me off of them.

Speaking of cash, when you're at the Cal or MSS, you can practically see Jerry's Nugget. The taxi fare has to be in the same order of magnitude as bus fare from there!

Believe it or not the two times I took a Lyft it was almost $9 each way. I believe that was before tip. Luckily on that trip I had 25% off of rides, so that helped quite a bit.

Well I did it! I Lyfted to Jerry's, but I BUSSED back! I was so damn proud of myself LOL. It was an interesting and entertaining bus ride. The app was very helpful in giving me a countdown to my stop. Once off the bus I decided not to fart around and try to find a way into the D. I decided to just go back the way the bus came and turn left to go under the canopy. Easy Peasy!

Thanks to everyone that gave advice, directions, graphs, charts, finger puppets and every other creative way to help me build confidence to do this alone for the first time! I will do it again, but only if the temperature is under 80 degrees. I ended up breaking a sweat from the walk from the bus stop to the Plaza...it was only 80 degrees! I might have to branch out and take the bus somewhere else in February.

Thanks for the update, Tee! You've given me the confidence to do the same on my next trip. Part of me figures $20 for two Lyfts and no hassles > $4 for two bus fares and the risk of hassle with waiting and such. But as I'm trying to get into the habit of being more disciplined with money, this is the exact type of savings I should be looking out for.
