I saw in the Vegas Values Report for this week that new members of the Sahara Club B52 rewards proram are eligible to receive up to $250 back in Free Slot Play based off of their losses.

Has anyone tried this program? Does anyone know the details of it? What determines how much slot play one wil receive?

    Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. When you say 50% next day, does that mean that that 50% can only be used that day, or that’s when you receive it for use during the next 90 days?

Basically I’m leaving LV tomorrow, and coming back in mid-December. If I got in the promotion today, would I have 90 days to use both the 50% I would receive tomorrow and the 50% I would receive in 30 days?

Please advise. If you could link me to that earlier thread, I’d appreciate it. I think I want to do it but it’s a lot of money so I want to make sure I know what I’m getting into.

    Thanks.

Sounds like the old Tropicana promo from a few years ago.

yes it does sound like the trop.
cosmo had a great promo. 100 dollars of losses reimbursed on slots. but it wasn't 100 only on your first day, it was 100 the first day you lost 100.
me and a bunch of my friends did this play. what you would want to do is bet big on video poker for example. 50 or 100 a spin. if you lost you got your 100 back.if you won you immediately cash out and come back the next day. naturally most people just lost on their first spin but some people one, got to cash out and do it again the next day. and a few people were lucky enough to win for a few days in a row on their one or two spins.

I stopped by the Sahara and signed up. I will post the terms below as I feel I would have been able to use the offer better if I had this information up front. In the end, I made money playing the slots there (I didn’t have much time to play), so wasn’t eligible for a rebate. I think it is a great option if you want to get to try different games.

I hope this helps people. Please let me know if it violates any rules.

Terms of the program at Sahara:

    1. Must be at least 21 years of age to participate and participants must provide valid proof of age that is acceptable to SAHARA Las Vegas, which may act in its sole and absolute discretion as it deems appropriate.

    2. Must be a new member sign up Club 52 member to qualify. Enrollment in the rebate offer is not automatic, patrons must request to be enrolled in the program.

    3. Participants may not be current residents of the state of Nevada. Must show valid out-of-state identification with out-of-state address to qualify. Must provide a valid email address to participate.

    4. Participants must be a new member sign up between October 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019.

    5. Promotional period commences at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019 and concludes at 11 :59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.

    6. Qualified new member sign up Club 52 members will receive up to $250 in Free Slot Play rebate.

    7. Rebate will be based on qualified gaming activity generated on their day of sign up for the Club 52 card until 11 :59pm on the day of sign up. • Rebate will be 100% of their total loss split up over two redemption periods for a maximum return of $250 in Free Slot Play. • Rebate will only be eligible based on the loss made on qualifying machines. Not eligible for loss on non-qualifying games or table games. Video Poker machines do not qualify. Qualifying machines include those that earn one point per dollar wagered. It is the player's responsibility to confirm if they are playing on a qualifying machine. • 1st Rebate -50% of the rebate will be available at 1 0:00am the day after Club 52 sign up and will be valid for 48 hours. • 2nd Rebate -50% of the rebate will be available 30 days after the day of Club 52 sign-up and will be valid for 90 days. • Participants must redeem their 1st rebate to receive the 2nd Rebate. • 1st and 2nd rebate Free Slot Play amounts must be accepted at any casino kiosk. • A minimum loss of $50 is required to receive rebate.

    8. All rebates will be paid out in Free Slot Play.

    9. Once accepted from the Kiosk, Free Slot Play will expire two (2) days from the date and time of issuance. Free Slot Play may be used in multiple sittings. Free Slot Play is non-transferable, has no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash. Winnings from Free Slot Play are redeemable for cash.

    10. Offers are non-transferable and have no cash value.

    11. Offers may not be used in conjunction with any other offers, comps or points.

Ohhhh, they give it back in free slot play, nowww I get it. So, if you were a former SLS Memeber, that doesn't matter? Either way, I am going to collect a new chip.

@Bluegrass527 I see that video poker play does not count towards the reimbursable loss, but can one use video poker with the subsequent free play you get if you lose initially?

Also if one was a member of the old Sahara slot club (long before it was SLS) does that mean one cannot be a "new player" eligible for this promotion? Asking for a friend . . .

Craps odds are 3x, 4x, 5x. Thought they would offer 5x being in the location they’re in. I’m not seeing the draw to go there.

Signed up yesterday and had well over the $250 in loses. Went back today and they were only showing $65 in loss, and told me I didn’t qualify for any freeplay. After pushing to speak to a manager they never could find my loses, but did concede $100 in FP. It should be $125. They also couldn’t “promise” I’d get the other half in the future. What a mess!

That's awful. Yeah, I realized that I came out slightly ahead so I didn't really have a leg to stand on, but they had said that I was showing $6 in losses which didn't make sense (I was up about $15 by the end).

It sounds like people should proceed with extreme caution. I also would only play towards this promotion while the player's club is open. In general, it seemed like the staff was not that aware of the promotion. Thanks for telling of your experience.

You have that right. I had to tell her about the offer and then she had to ask another employee. She also told me the FP would take 48 hours to be active, which is wrong. It is active after 10am the following day.

Last Saturday afternoon I took the SDX from downtown to the Sahara and did the loss rebate promo. I was an old "Sahara" member before it was closed and renovated into the SLS but there was no record of me so I was entitled to the promo as a new player.

The 52 Club boothling explained that my initial play had to be slots and not any other machine including video poker. But she also pointed out the nearby kiosk where if I lost, I could activiate half my losses after 10:00 am the next day.

I then proceed to play $5 Top Dollar at their high limit room and lost my $250 without even a bonus offer. I wanted to use volatility to my advantage and lost. I also lost my $10 new member free play promo.

The next day, Sunday, I returned and activated my free play and went to a 7/5 ACE$ bonus poker machine in high limit betting one dollar denomination. I only spotted two video poker machines in the high limit salon. I hit a couple of full houses and turned the $125 into $155. (See photo below) I kept playing until it was down to $140 and left. I had no hiccups or technical issues. I will be back in Vegas for New Years and will redeem the other $125 then.

No love from this one-armed bandit in Sahara.

@AlPal Did you play only slot machines? How about video blackjack or keno machines which may not be technically slots? Additionally, did you move machines and maybe not insert your card correctly. I am not saying that Sahara could not have made a technical (or other) error, but I am going to claim my last rebate share and probably bring my wife to do this promo and want to avoid problems.

Below are photos of the the terms and conditions on this promo. As you can see under item 7, rebates are only allowed on qualifying machines.

BTW, I myself played when the Club booth was open and the boothling gave me all the info I needed.

Yes, I had at least $500 in loses on high limit slots. Card was inserted correctly in both machines I played. It showed the points correctly, but my loses were not accurate.

Got it. I played at Top Dollar $5 denomination and did not have a point hiccup (but did lose my money without a bonus round). Would you tell me which machines at high limit you used at Sahara so I can avoid it?
