As the title suggests—Nov. 1 and 2. Where do you like to play?

I could go to Santa Anita but I always seem to have a better time in Vegas. Played at Bally's, old Barbary Coast, Mirage, old Imperial Palace, Orleans, Gold Coast, South Point. I will be at the Wynn this year, hoping I can get a seat.

I play at the hotel I am staying at for the weekend. I have never done the big ballroom events so I can't speak for that experience and that is not my cup of tea so to speak. I have had good experiences at the Bellagio, VP and Cosmo with regards to betting, drinks, etc.... It will always to harder to get a seat on Saturday with College Football going on as well. It is one of the best betting days of the year imo.

I concentrate most of my play on my ADW account, so it really does not matter to me where I am watching the races. I am flying in on Saturday this year. Hopefully when I land, the account will be a little more full. Good Luck!!!

I did attend the BC at Del Mar a few years and it was an awesome experience with the smaller attendance. We are planning on going back in a few years versus Vegas.

Do you open an account at the casino where you're staying, or do you use a nationwide site such as TVG or Twinspires? I have Twinspires which I can't use when I'm in a casino in Vegas—they block.

And totally agree on Del Mar—I thought it would be a mess but they really did a nice job accommodating the crowd.

I'm at the Wynn Friday and Saturday too for the racing. I sent a message asking about possibility of reserving seats, cost
etc but they never got back to me. Like you, I'll be hoping to get a seat...maybe the view from the bar is good ?

I use Xpressbet and have had no issues using it in the past. I have had the account for a long time. Maybe they have changed since last year and it will be blocked as well, we shall see in a couple of weeks. The only time I have had problem with being blocked is when I am in Utah skiing, but for some reason it worked last March. Their website has a long list of restrictions on which states allow it and for which tracks as well. Some states including Michigan do not allow ADW betting on the home tracks.

I probably use the ADW 80% of the time vs standing in line at the windows, it is easier for me to build my horizontal and vertical bets on my phone. Plus, it allows me to stand in line for my football bets.

As far as the actual racing this year, it is WIDE open especially in the weaker then normal Classic. I think we are going to seem some very nice high prices!!!

The Classic is wide open. But I really like Baffert's Improbable if he runs. Long striding colt who got bottled up last time in the Penn Derby. Not sure where he's running, maybe the Dirt Mile. I also really like Scabbard in the Juvenile, a Hard Spun colt who was flying at the end in his last race, won by Dennis' Moment, who may go favored.

Please report back about using your ADW in a Nevada casino. I'm always blocked, in Vegas or Laughlin.

I’m able to use TVG by turning off your location and signing in like you normally would. It reads where the account is located, not your physical location

Mr. Papageorgio, your new car! Sorry, couldn't resist. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely try that when I'm in Vegas—hadn't thought of it. I find using my ADW quite convenient, although I will still bet some with the casino for rewards points.

Most of my crew is getting in Thursday night and then the rest including me Friday morning. We will be based at ParkMGM. Any reports on their reopened book? We may stay there Friday. Saturday we will probably head to MB.

should be a fun couple of days!

I just typically use the expert and computer picks to make exacta and tri plays. This method has been more or less break even for me.

I'll be stopping by Lone Star Park Friday to make my Saturday bets. Uni in the turf mile is my best bet, if she wins I will have a good day.

I just hope it is not a chalk fest again this year.

I have not finished all my handicapping yet, but for a long shot in the Classic maybe Mongolian Groom. There is not a lot of front speed in this race and he is the only one to be ahead at the first call out of the this group. Maybe he wires the field?

Don't leave out Fair Maiden in the Juvenile Turf fillies Friday. I like her previous races she ran huge winning at AP and the WO stake...I think adding the blinkers will help too. Should be a price.

    HOLY SHIT!

I was playing the Friday card for the Breeders Cup at Santa Anita.....
passed the first race as I thought the chalk didn't look good in warm ups(finished dead last)

Played a few 50 cent pick 3's and was up a little over $600 going into the late pick 4.
I had a good feeling that a couple of the favorites were vulnerable so I decided to go for it and spend $300 on a ticket....

    R7: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9
    R8: 5, 9, 11-13
    R9: 1, 3-6
    R10: 1, 2, 7, 8

the 4 won the 9th at 45-1,so going into the last race I had 4 shots with payouts between $8,000 and $13,000.

The race goes off and I am holding my breath.... I had two of mine in contention at the top of the stretch when
all of a sudden the 8 took off and won by daylight...

    R7: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9
    R8: 5, 9, 11-13
    R9: 1, 3-6
    R10: 1, 2, 7, 8

    $300.00$0.00 $11,580.75 Resolved
HOLY SHIT! and not a tax ticket.

best hit on the hosses ever...actually hit on any bet in my life...

now if I could hit a 100 more I might get close to even..... Jay Trotter from Let It Ride homage

time to burn the midnight oil for Saturdays races...

ps. I already withdrew $9,999.00 back to my bank account...

    Look out Vegas next week.

Awesome hit Mike! I never came close to that score at the track (around 9-10 large short).

I don't make it to the track very often anymore, but I still love to catch a few races everytime I pass a sportsbook in Vegas, and will try to catch a few tomorrow. Worked at the Chicago tracks in the 1980s and 1990s, been to four Breeders Cups (all at Churchill).

My first and favorite Breeders Cup, $200 WPS on America's Horse!

    @BlacklabberMike

That is a sweet score and nice capping.

It looks like the early speed is going to hold up for day 2. Not sure if the closers have a chance how the track is set up. Good LUCK and bombs away!

Where do I like to play the races in Vegas? Anywhere I can find a seat. I remember my cousin and I casino hopping trying to find an available seat at a book and they were all reserved until we found 2 at the Mirage. Today I will try to duplicate Blacklabber's fantastic score on the late Pick 4. Don't tell the wife as your 11 grand win will end up being a 5000 win after she gets done with it. I speak from experience. In the Classic I am taking 3 bombs to close out that Pick 4. I really like Math Wizard. The rags to riches story appeals to me and it's very hard to go wide in Philly and out close quality horses like he did. War Of Will needed his last race. He's training sensationally adding blinkers. He may jump to the lead and do an all the way Renee. Seeking The Soul is the biggest money earner in the field. His form is off now but he can out close them all of he fires. Just don't wanna see Baffert win. Can't stand the guy. Does anyone know why Smith aint riding his horse? Why the switch to Rosario? Was Baffert upset about his ride in his previous race? Anyway, good luck to all today.

I have my preliminary 'capping done for today and will refine it once the scratches and changes are announced.
I also have two friends that are professional handicappers and we bounce around notes and thoughts.

But first, in the 2nd at Aqueduct the horse I have a small investment in, Power Up Paynter is running and he looks to have a good shot at hitting the board.

As my old friend Harvey Pack says... "May the horse be with you"
