Even if you're not a fan... this was the bomb! Prince doing Purple Rain in the rain! Magic.

See NFL blocked it here and says to click to watch on Youtube. Do it! So good :)

Prince was probably my all-time favorite halftime performance!

I definitely had a tear or two in my eyes by the end of Prince's half-time show.
There were only a few other half-time performances that were memorable.

I understand WHY they picked JLO and Shakira for a Miami based half-time show.
I'm not a fan of either of them, but I'll take that time to grab some food/drinks.
I won't turn the channel, but anything is better than last year's snooze-fest from Maroon5.

Good point about are we into just watching beautiful people or to be entertained? Hard to satisfy everyone. When we have to appeal to the masses there's bound to be compromise.

    I would go for this.

I admire well planned out logistics. Most times when watching the half time show I'm looking at how well planned the event was, how the props are wheeled in and out in sync with the performers and observing the roustabouts running around making things run smoothly.

And innovation. Looking to see how they outdo themselves from last years performances. Sometimes it's the same old shit like fireworks, pyrotecnics, lighting in predictable sequences.

That is probably the hardest thing to do.

And yeah, I like to catch the lip-sync mistakes.

The NFL could do some slick advertising of future Super Bowl locations during the intermission with so called famous people that live in the locations doing the promotions.
And update the promotions on a yearly basis.
    Next year is in Tampa
    2022 LA
    2023 Glendale, AZ
    2024 New Orleans
It could create some buzz on the location for the big game
