Is it just me, or does it look like progress on the tower has been stalled for a while? I see workers swarming around up there but very little upward movement. Maybe it's just because I've been checking the webcam every few days.

it slowed up quite a bit, they recently poured part of the 6th floor roof/ 7th floor floor...it all slowed when they started the casino/pool area with steele...they got that up quick

I was impressed with how fast that steel went up. But upward progress on the tower definitely has taken a hit. 15 months to go.

my guess is once they get the steal built up to the 5th floor pool deck and can pour concrete on it then they will start rocking and rolling on the rest of the floors...they also have to get the crane out of the basement, sportbook area soon, looks like they are working around it as much as possible

I dont know this at all, but a quick guess would be inspections/permitting might hold it up. Its probably at a point where load/foundations have to be checked/approved before going up

The beams they are putting up for the pool level are pretty crazy. They also unloaded some gigantic truss beams today.

Just a guess, but the hotel tower level they are working on appears to be a mechanical level, since they are pouring some big things. Looking at the introductory video, the level they are working on has a different color than the rest of the tower.

I would like to see an engineer look at the webcam and give some actually informed views, unlike mine.

I can only speak to California construction, but this is a VERY real possibility. I know we have had many projects fall way behind due to inspections. If the City of LV is anything like San Jose or any other city in the Bay Area - good luck! It might take a small miracle to keep this project on track. I sure hope it does as I can barely contain my excitement and also I'm over the noise/dust/traffic that has impacted my stays DT. It will be nice when some of the larger projects are put to bed and we may enjoy the fruits of their labor.

And i'd hope that the city of LV would prioritize this sort of construction. After all the Goodmans love promoting DTLV and this new casino construction is a major feather in the cap. Especially after the last financial downturn when the epitaph of downtown was already being written. My guess is that this is only a temporary hold up.

Don't know if this was posted or may just be buried in the thread, but here is a direct link to the construction camera on YouTube.
