The Pats have always had head cases. Nothing new there. If he plays well, he will be in the games. If not, he will ride the bench

Do the Raiders have to turn the $215,000 in fines over to collections now?

I think it's a fine move (speaking as a Pats fan). Will it be Randy Moss 2.0 and a resurgence? Maybe not, but there's no questioning Brown's talent. He's just 31, so maybe headed towards decline, but not yet. He's already got 74 TDs after eight years, that's a good clip.

The "headcase shapes up with the Pats" is cliche, but shows the value of having an organization that operates a certain way.

I don't think their headcases really shape up with them. It just that nobody cares because the team wins.

Wow. After watching the vid of him celebrating getting released... He just played the Raiders and the Steelers, hard. It looks like he always wanted to go the the Pats but Pittsburgh would definitely not trade him to New England. Crazied himself out of Oakland and now with the Pats. If only he did it one day earlier, he could have played tomorrow vs Pitt. lol.

Lets not forget my friend from here in my neck of the woods Chad Johnson { ochocinco } he never got down to timing with Brady and we will have to see this guy , like my pal @UKFanatic said the center is out David Andrews , lets see how all these things pan out the left tackle is Wynn there first pick from last year lets see how he protects Brady's blind side cause when Trent Brown now with Raiders played that position last year , Brady had time to eat a sandwich and still throw it , This by no means guarantees a Super Bowl , Lets wait see how the season pans out. It's 18 weeks of football to reach the Super Bowl.:peace:

Anyone saying that isn't really paying attention. Brown isn't the missing piece of the puzzle for this team. Its a good pick up, but its not as though they were lacking at that position. Pats are already a top echelon team this season. If they have a missing piece, its along the offensive and defensive line. If they had picked up an all pro edge rusher for nothing, I would be in awe of the Pats and afraid to play them. This pickup makes them better, but only minimally.

Just for a little statistical perspective, I looked at Brady's completion stats from last year. Assuming they throw the ball as much this year (which I doubt; I still think they are shifting to a run oriented offense), Brady averages 23 completions a game. Typically, eight of those completions are going to backs and tight ends. So that leaves fifteen catches a game to split up between (at least) Edelman, Gordon, Thomas, Dorsett, and Brown. Edeleman usually gets four or five of those catches. So that only leaves 11 catches for the other four guys, including Brown. he's not catching a hundred plus balls like he did in Pittsburgh. He's a fabulous player, but the Pats just don't feature receivers the way the Pitt offense did the past several years.

I don't think signing AB made Gronk any healthier. I'm not super schooled in the NFL player move rules, but, if anything, Gronk might come back mid/late season, but even that is a stretch. Dude seemed fine with his decision not to wake up in pain each day.

Even though I'm a football fan, as far as Gronk is concerned, I'd be more excited to see what he's up to next in his life. It legitimately could be anything and it would be entertaining.

he's on my bench anyway as I got Mike Evans and Brandin Cooks starting. Just think that the targets will get too split up now that AB has arrived. will probably hurt Edelman owners as well

AB is a phenomenal talent, but I have true concerns about his mental health.

The baby that cries the loudest is the one that generally gets his way:cry:
Unfortunately this is all too often what pro football has degenerated into.
Bring back the 70's and 80's when this behavior would have never been tolerated.
