A week ago I started researching an Oct trip. I just go spring and fall these days. I had rates already for MSS, but I thought I'd see about a couple of nights at Sam's Town also. Back in the 90s this was the LV home for our rotating golf group. Lots of good memories there. I was hoping rates with the RF wouldn't be too bad and was floored when some trial dates showed comped! Understand that I play quarter VP and $5-10 passline with odds craps, so I don't expect comps. I checked the following week and it came up comped also. Now, I don't know what they allow their employees to smoke now that pot's legal, but I like it. Got ahold of my LV friends (who I always stay the first two nights with) to check dates and Sue said fine. I ended up nixing MSS and set up three nights at ST. Not playing golf anymore, two nights with them and three at a hotel seems good. They didn't comp the third night, but it shows $32 plus tax and no RF. Looking forward to going "home."

    Good Luck!

I did the same thing for my trip this month and discovered I had two comped nights. I haven't stayed there in eight years but used to stay there very frequently. I dropped in and played less than an hour last year and ate at an excellent Mexican place (Roberto's Taco shop) in the food court. So it's back to Sam's Town for me too.

Sams Town is not bad at all.

Lotsa machines I love and easy to get free nights, even for my modest level of play.

Damn! I've passed on free rooms there many times for the Gold Coast. Now they don't send me anything and I wanna check them out again.

I can't compare now as I haven't stayed at either in many years, but I always liked the rooms at ST much better than the GC. Same with the casino. Stayed and played at the GC many times, but never really cared for the casino. Really looking forward to the ST stay. Restaurants have all changed, but that's ok. I think I'll take a run into downtown Henderson since I haven't been there in a couple of years. Maybe even visit Lake Las Vegas. Maybe have lunch at Reflection Bay.

    Good Luck!

Sam’s Town has 100% video poker and a shuttle to downtown and the Strip too.

Between that and craps I should keep busy there as much as I play. May head up to Boulder Station one day. It's been at least ten years since I darkened their doors. On the wat to DT Henderson I might breakfast at the Skyline. They used to run good specials.

    Good Luck!

And always plenty of room on those tourist sized buses.

I glanced at the Sams Town craps lay out and saw some All-Tall-Small offerings. Does anyone know if they are currently 34-175-34 or are they the diluted 30-150-30 ones?

I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

@joespoolhall I'm pretty sure you will have to pay the resort fee for the night you are not comped. It would be a pleasant surprise if you don't have to pay it. I just wanted you to be prepared to pay just in case.

That's true. You pay the resort fee on paid nights but not on comped nights.

Upon further review, this is true. When I first read my confirmation I kind of zipped through it. I'm male and just like directions, there's little need to read any communication in it's entirety!
Seriously, from the standpoint of one who doesn't get comped, $32 + tax and RF for three nights is a hell of a deal, so I can't complain. Someone that is regularly comped would see it much differently, of course.

    Good Luck!

Just returned from Sam's Town. No trouble getting Uber/Lyft at any time of day. Great stay.

I'll have a car, but good to know. Website says rooms have fridges. Is that so?

Yes, rooms have fridges. I'll be there in 38 days.
