I have one old School drink per trip, what do YOU think this trip's drink should be?

I tried one of these for the first time at Tom's Urban - my friend ordered it with the MyVegas comp. I couldn't taste any alcohol! Witchcraft!

Quick question for the drinkers... I always want to order a drink while I'm playing the slots but the trouble is I have no idea what to order or what they have. Would it be silly to ask for a menu? Or do they all pretty much have the same stuff? I like mild drinks, preferably with vodka. I don't like strong stuff. Any recommendations? I'm not a big drinker, as you can tell.

So I have half a day of work tomorrow, then will be wheels down in Vegas by 6:00 pm! So, of course I am chomping at the bit.

I'm veering heavily towards a sidecar this trip, plus a bonus grasshopper drink in honor of the @formerlyTD , whom I let down last trip due to being sick!

Though I never do my "one old school cocktail per trip" the first night... so this may change! The first night will be sheer, unbridled "chomping at the bit, the gates have just been flung open" gluttony and debauchery (within lady-like reason of course!)

Bags are packed, VMB cocktail hints are tagged.....LETS roll!:biker:

(TR coming, though as always, don't expect epic tales, as @Geogran says, I'm a slot slug, but it'll be fun to report on my first ever stay at MGM----wish me luck!)

I cannot wait for this one @Multifarious5 !

New digs, new cocktails, so debauch away, you deserve it.
You are hereby ordered to win a HP :D

(As many times as I’ve played at MGM, I still can’t find my way around the casino floor, duh).

Oh, and by the way, since I’m such an expert on cocktails, my tip is try them all :woohoo:

My go-to is always an Aviation. I've been drinking them for almost 15 years now, ever since I discovered them at Stack at Mirage back on opening night.

I would just consider what you want and ask for it. The worst thing they'll say is no. Just remember that the drinks are all coming out of the service bar and they likely won't have the niche stuff like bitters, random liqueurs, etc. And anything that comes in a martini glass is kind of a pain to manage at a slot machine.

I have not had a Long Island since college, and for good reason. Our regular place served them in pint glasses. If you didn't black out after one, you were too far gone to begin with.

Back in the old days before LITs when classy places had liquor/cocktail menus on the wall the ZOMBIE was the drink for the hardcore. Usually had a disclaimer 'Limit 2 per customer' Recipe was was 2 oz light/white rum 1 oz dark rum 1oz 151 1 oz pineapple 1 oz orange toss a cherry and pineapple on top and float 151 on top.
Peppermill has a Scorpion huge rum drink with with 2 straws (at least). Voodoo Lounge has the monster Witch Doctor with smoking dry ice. Bring a drinkng buddy who could carry you in case of emergency
