    Hello All,
So a few months ago, I was assigned an Account Executive at CET who shows up under my HOSTS section in the CR app. I have contacted her a few times with questions about an upcoming LV reservation and to book an offer or two at Horseshoe in Bossier City.
I also have spoken to casino hosts at Horseshoe to take care of ticket reservations, food, etc. Seems like I don't have a "dedicated local host", but I try to use the same person if I can if he is available. He doesn't show up in the app, but I have his business card.
My question is, what is the difference between these people and what can they do? Is one better than another to use? I do know that when I play at Horseshoe, they get an alert to find me on the floor and talk to me, but it's usually a different person every time.

A host can usually do more like back end comps. We've had both, though, and we got great comps with the account exec....later, when she retired, we were told she was overcoming us. I think this may have been a sorry excuse. Our new host has been pretty good so far. I think you are smart to try to use the same person. I think they get credit for your stats, so you might get better comps that way...not sure.

My executive host does no more for me than I can do myself, with one exception. My room locations seem to be better when she books it, higher floor/view. I think she has the capability to block off a room for me vs when I check in I get what's available on arrival for my room choice.

Before I had a real host I had an account executive. They also couldn't do anything I couldn't book myself so I just did it all online. Recently I did get a host and after a few emails politely chastising me for not going through her I started using my host to book everything. My offers still aren't anything I can't book myself and I only once asked for back end and even that was through the host office because my host was off. I carry a RC balance now so that's a moot point anyway. But, my host always leaves chocolate and water in the room and did get me a ticket to go to a farewell event for Celine Dion the night of her last show. She's also helpful for things like getting connecting rooms if I have another party with us. I'm sure higher players than myself can get way more but I'm a low 7 stars and my play has dropped off a ton since I hit 7 stars since there's no need for it. I'm sure it'll pick up again next year.

At CET, an Account Executive is an inside sales person charged with pinging you every so often, offer to make bookings and do a soft upsell. They probably don't get a piece of your action, but their performance is probably rated by how many bookings they make.

An Executive Host title is pretty much the same everywhere across casino chains, although their discretionary powers vary by company. They get partially compensated based on your play.

CET also seems to have teams of "VIP Reps" located at specific properties, I've had a couple of different people greet me on the slot floor at PH. These seem to come into play if you're at a decent play level, but not host-worthy by their criteria. I'm not really sure what their function is other than greeting; I emailed a question to one once and got an answer I knew wasn't right, which is always about a 50/50 shot at CET or anywhere else anyway.

I have a "Sales Executive" that is listed as a host in my app. I wonder if that is even lower than an account executive as she has not been able to book anything I can't. Also I found that asking for back end comps doesn't work well at the host desk cause they try and contact her before they can do anything.

An executive host has the ability to comp you on the back end. I was told that the others do not. They also have the ability to offer you free play upfront. After a year of not going to Atlantic City my offers went stale because we were spending much more time in Vegas. Other than comped roons, I had nothing showing up. I contacted my executive host in AC and said we'd like to come down but have no offers. He hooked me with $300 in free play which was double from my previous offers .He also picked up all my food charges on the back end and never touched my RCs.

I've had the same host for at least 10 years in Atlantic City. Back then I was staying mostly at Showboat. I have no real idea why his title was: Customer Development Executive
Now it's: Senior Customer Development Executive
Overall I've he's done pretty much everything I've needed, which usually isn't much. Once in a while I ask for an extra comped room when I have friends coming. For a while now he's been giving me bounce back Free Play, which I pick up at the cashier which is in addition to whatever free play I get from offers.

My Vegas host is an Executive Host.

pretty much had the same thing happen to me after I booked 5 days for MMILV 4 years ago. Room offers opened up for march and although Hoops On The Strip offer had not appeared I figured I lock in a jubilee tower room while I could. When my Hoops didnt arrive I emailed her. her response was short and curse. A you didn't book your rooms with me so B You didn't get offer for Hoops. Ill be damned. Its almost as if she blocked me from the Hoops offer because i didn't go through her for a room that i could get just as easily! She is the crappiest host I have amongst 3 companies ( Seneca and My choice casinos - Hollywood Lawrenceburg), but she has me by the short hairs until I decide I no longer want to visit Vegas in march for MMILV. Sort of sucks. plus more often than not , she isn't in when I email her.

I wonder if we have the same host. Mine is generally pretty good though and is quite responsive. But I bet if my play drops further I have a feeling I’ll start to get shorter responses.

Nope. Things are good now but the water and chocolate will probably be the first to go when she’s no longer happy with my play. :D

We have noticed when we book a room quite a bit in advance our offers for that time period quit. I talked to our host (at Planet Hollywood) and she sort of said that happens. Their computers know everything.

I remember reading somewhere that if you book a room you will not receive offers during that time. That would make sense. Why would
they try to incentivize you to go if you’re already going? Can’t find the link where I read it but I do remember something along those lines.

I have heard that as well. We like to go during NYE and I usually book rooms way ahead of time. I have never gotten party invites for NYE even though I get other holiday party invites. This year I booked flights (southwest with refundable points) and am not booking a room. If I don't get a party invite we are just going to skip NYE go another date in January/February

There is no CET backend comps really. The use your RC balance to pay for stuff so what are you getting for free?

As mentioned above, executive hosts have the ability to comp you without touching your RC's. Whether they do it or not is another question.

It's possible that some people might somehow fall between the cracks, but I've never seen that happen with CET, MLife, V/P or TI. I usually have at least 1 if not 2 future trips booked at all times, and I always continue to get offers on the same schedule when I have a reservation already booked.

I might have seen it happen with Cosmo once about a year ago, but it's hard to be sure, because they were in the midst of rolling out their new website at the time and they definitely made some changes to how they send out offers.
