The CET comps algorithm is much more variable and active that any other calendars I've seen on strip. Great comps can appear one day, disappear the next day and are never seen again, then another, sometimes better resort will open up a few weeks before your trip. You really do almost have to check daily to lock down the best rates or rooms. Just book the best available at any time and cancel and rebook if/when something better comes along.

    How is that possible?
    What do you normally play?

Play maybe 70% VP and 30% slots.

Welcome to the wonderful world of CET comps.

I live in Australia and it seems that for non-North American members CET in Vegas (and to a lesser extent elsewhere) does not provide offers. So after 5-6 years of play in Vegas as a high-level diamond or Seven Star and receiving zero offers of FP or F+B credit or Show tickets or Gifts I Gave up on CET in Vegas about 2 years ago. I get better offers (after all anything is better than nothing) from MGM and Cosmo for far less play than I was giving CET. So for a year I would use my free calendar nights from CET at Caesars or The Cromwell but stopped playing at CET in Vegas. About a year ago they cut me off and I virtually never have free nights show up on my calendar.

I still provide CET with plenty of play just not in Vegas where my play goes to MGM and Cosmo. About a year ago I decided to change my mailing address from Australia to a friend's in California which has resulted in lots of offers for FP, F+B, shows, gifts etc from Atlantic City, New Orleans, Windsor, Tahoe which are the places that I have earned my 138,000 TCs this year. But I have put too much into CET in Vegas in the past for too little return in terms of offers that now I am happy playing elsewhere and using my Seven Star retreat or Signature event if I need nights in Vegas between my MGM/Cosmo free stays

My coin-in is $20. I have comps at Flamingo, PH, Rio, Harrah's, Paris, Bally's, and LINQ. They haven't changed.

That is the same availability we have for two synthetic Diamond accounts and one Gold account. My dad's Diamond account has a ton of availability still.

I guess I should have elaborated a bit. Back when I was a gold player with CET I rarely ever had comped nights, anywhere. That’s why I made that comment. Hell, even as a solid Diamond it’s not a guarantee I’ll get a comped stay at a low end property in Vegas, especially if it’s a busy week.

I just signed in under my husband's account (he only has 400 tcs) and he is showing comps at the lower tier hotels for midweek. He's only played a couple times this year at the "local" CET casino. We live over 3 hours from Kansas City.

It was because of those quests and bump to platinum I was able to get CP playing my normal amount of gamble

I am comped at all properties except Caesars, Harrah's Cromwell, Nomad, and Linq for our Dec. trip. I was shocked to see a comp at Paris as well for Dec. Even on the weekend.

What surprised me was, no comp at the Linq, but a comp at PH and Paris, even weekends.

They've had me in fake diamond purgatory for months now.

Which is fine, I'll just take my dinner and line perks and use my mobile game comps for rooms.

Be interesting to see if the comps are back once the "diamond" is gone. Of course it will be interesting to see if the "diamond" ends up gone.

    I've seen that often!

So that is at least 3 people with no comps except Rio for August 19 and 20... Interesting

You can tell people that until they're blue in the face.

    But I'll try, too.

Status has nothing to do with comp nights. It will get you some perks (parking for Platinum, free tix and celebration dinner for Diamond, etc) but does not affect your CET calendar. (Disclosure, I bought my Diamond status with the Founders card).

Meanwhile, my calendar is full of comps. Having a good run (meaning a lot of coin-in) at the Linq Super Bowl weekend was good, as was getting bludgeoned at Horseshoe Hammond (then hitting the ATM) also helped my calendar.

That's bizarre man. I'm a low level diamond and my rate calendar typically looks like this:

That was how mine looked after my first trip but that all changed after my second trip. I have 3 reservations booked for the rest of the year now I only get weekdays free at some properties :( And nearly all days require payment next year.

So damn true. Late last year we looked at booking a short notice December trip. I was surprised to see an Augustus Laurel Collection strip view room show up as comped. A few days earlier no CP room showed up as comped, even though most of the other properties were all comped. I guess they would rather have a guest than an empty room.
