Do you always book directly with hotels, through s 3rd party like Expedia, flight and hotel together or separate?

I check to see when approximately I'm interested in going. I then check the Vegas Calendar and make sure no huge conventions etc. are happening. Then I book or begin looking to book airfare. Once that's booked, I shoot an email off to my host and it's done.

I would NEVER, EVER book a Hotel/Casino trip through a 3rd party service. If you gamble at all or spend a lot of money at your hotel of residence, you may be eligible for a comp. When you go through a 3rd party source there is nothing the hotel can do for you. This would include if something goes awry and they are willing to drop the resort fees or give you credit back for the room itself for your inconvenience.

I drive, so no flights, and I plan my trips around comps so I always book direct. I've only used a third party once since I started getting room offers, and that was because I had a credit for that particular service.

    a) 90% book the resort directly with CET/Total Rewards...
    b) Southwest for airfare when not using Southwest Vacations (book flight & resort separately)...
    c) 10% resort & airfare with Southwest Vacations...

Directly with the hotel. As a super low roller I still get great discounts on rooms with players cards. I also go directly with the airline to get points. It's rare I can do any better on expedia, etc.

Check rates at hotels we enjoy around the valley, do the cost/value comparison, book with the hotel, load the car and go.

I always book directly for both.
Vegas hotels tend to change in price and I'm frequently rebooking at the lower price.. Southwest I also re-book for credit if the flight is lower.

We always book through the Casino/Hotel on-line if allowed (almost always comped). Airfare has exclusively been SWA through their web-site. Airfare dictates our trips. We book the least expensive flights as far in advance as possible that work for our daily schedules. Right now we have airfare booked on trips all the way to 2020.

    1. Email host to see what options are available for our target dates then book via host
    2. Start with Google Flights to find the best combo of date, departing airport (2 major and 1 minor are within 2 hour drive) connections and times. Always check round trip, then one way and using different airlines. Take a peek at first class for any deals.
    3. Book directly with airline using ff miles if we have enough
    4. Fill in the gaps with show reservations, ideas of restaurants, etc.

I get comps so I always book directly with the hotel and I usually use miles for flights.

    1) look online for coupons (codes) for my hotel(s)
    2) book hotel always directly early as I can
    3) wait with the airline until I am 99% sure I can go
    4) check hotel for better deals every so often and book that, cancel the first if I like the other offer better enough.

If flexible on dates, check airline prices first: Southwest mostly because we use points, then Frontier, since they are only direct flights for us.
Then go through wife's host for rooms, since almost always comped through offers.
    Have never done both together.

Airline I book direct during their sale.

Now that somehow I'm getting comps from all MLife properties I book rooms there through them.

Found a deal for GN that saved me £300 over 10 nights for next summer, so booked that 3rd party.

I book direct for everything, Mlife or CET for room (comped), SW or Delta for flights depending on points available, and whichever car is cheaper if renting a car for the trip (all have status to skip the line).

Part of the fun of my Vegas trips is finding the lowest priced room (perhaps comped) at a location where I want to stay while I keep checking for the best air price, hopefully on Alaska with good departure times.
