When you have the fever, how much will you pay for a flight?

    I'll admit it, I've got the fever. Even though I already have cheap tickets in August, I'm ill. Tunica won't cut it, only a cold banquet and a 25c vp machine downtown or a HL slot uptown will do.

    So how much would you pay for r/t airfare, with say, 13 days or less notice? And as a point of reference, how many hours in the air are you from Mecca non stop?

    Personally, I'd be happy with $450/500 but I've been known to pay 750. And that's from my local, SW wants 5xx each way from Tulsa, so they are out.

    OMG. I've never paid ≥$300 for a RT to Vegas...from Philly. Of course, I do plan ahead and I have 7 casinos an hour away (AC) to scratch my itch in between.

    Get some frequent flier points. I don’t think I’ve paid for a flight in the last 5 years. www.doctorofcredit.com or if you use reddit r/churning will show you how to earn them fast.

    I hear ya, but I tend to only fly SWA, and have plenty of points. But there's just something about burning 50K points when on a good day, I can burn 12K for the same flights!

    I've paid $600 R/T for a last second ticket on SWA, and it's a 45 min flight

    If we absolutely need to be somewhere, we'll pay the freight. Luckily with vacations we have latitude.

    I think my record was just over $600 return for a two hour flight. That aint bad on the surface but I have literally paid less than $100 plus a bag on more than one occasion. So for me, when flights start to get to $400 I am out!

    LOL I WISH I could get prices like that! I pay an average of $750 each way, there is no non-stop option, and it's about 5.5-7 hours in the air depending on where the connection is. That's for first class but economy isn't always much cheaper. My economy option for today was over $900 RT plus charge for bags so about $1000 out the door.

    I'm getting quotes for 7/9-7/13 out of Springfield Mo on AA for $570, and that's 6 days away! A Great price is 335, and that doesn't happen very often.

    (And I won't fly Allegiant, so I don't factor their price in)

    The question isn't how much we will spend on a flight, the question is how much you are willing to spend.... depending how how intense the fever is!

    I hear the CATS machine is lonely, the hotels have a build up of great beers left in the room, just itching for a bathtub cooler, the weird kitty game is meowing.... And the Kool cigs need their day in a Vegas court...whispers of "JPW, we miss you..." echo eerily through the Vegas hallways... both downtown and uptown..

    I'm betting you go... :popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

    The most that I've "paid" is to change my wanna get away point flight to the anytime point price just so my buddy and I could fly out a few hours early. We're talking going from a 3k pt flight to a 20k point flight x2, lol.

    Edit to add that we are in Phoenix so it's about a 45 minute flight.

    What can I say... Southwest Missouri bores me....

    I have tickets to the Isley brothers in tunica the 13th, but I may boycott gold strike this month because this is the first time in ten years they didn't send me extra birthday freeplay.
