    My Trip Report

First time trying a live trip report. Two nights at Southpoint and 2 at Orleans. Previous trips would have been split between Orleans and Gold Coast, but since Boyd doesn't seem to appreciate our business as much as they used to we actually had to pay for rooms.

Flying out of mke later than originally scheduled due to the 737 Max issues.

Airports also appear to be the wrong place to buy 12 packs. [IMG]

You might give up on Boyd after staying at SP, the rooms are nicer and the comps much better IMO.

    Good Luck, have fun!

First win of the trip. Decent beer on the plane and the flight attendant never came to get paid for it or the mixed drink the wife had. [IMG]

I have a feeling you're not overly worried about it and that's good. You shouldn't. A lot of these happenings are not always random acts and that they actually know each other and have a beef with each other.

Common sense and street smarts prevail all the time.

Have a Great trip and lots of fun!!!

Two days at South Point sound fun. I've never stayed there but the casino is one of my favorites in Las Vegas. Have a great trip!!

You are correct. Don't like to hear about crime, but it happens everywhere. Just need to be alert and avoid bad situations.

    Checked in at Southpoint.
View is a little lacking, but that is way down my list of priorities in a vegas room. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

When in Vegas I always try to visit South Point. I enjoy playing there but I too haven't stayed there. There are lots of varieties of slots and VP and on my last trip I won 300 dollars on the quarter Planet Moolah machine!

The room pics look great @ddashner ! Have a great time there!

Headed downtown for some binion's bbq courtesy of the app. Free food and up about $200 thanks to breaking bad.
Stopped at main street station where I ended up even and the wife won $60.[IMG][IMG]

Damn, a price that matches the ridiculous hype of that beer? It's one of the most overrated beers ever. And I even cringe at the Walmart price of ~$16 a 12 pack. Impossible to get outside of Wisconsin, but within Wisconsin it's EVERYWHERE...

Nice start! We really like South Point...and their great night owl/early bird breakfast special.

    Good luck!

Good luck! We're across the street at the Grandview for the week. Checked in around 4:30 yesterday. Looks like it's going to be the first really hot week of the year - 106 by Wednesday. We're supposed to go out on Lake Mead Wednesday with some local friends on a houseboat, but I wonder if 106 is too hot for that. Started the gambling with a couple of $100 "free" drinks playing at one of the South Point bars last night.

I'm beginning to look elsewhere, too. My best friend and his wife always stay at South Point and when we meet in Vegas I'll find my way down there to hang out with them. I always stay Downtown at the Cal but now I'm thinking of booking rooms at SP when my friend and wife are there in November.

Was doing pretty good at Southpoint this morning. Except when I tried switching from video poker to play the sharknado slot. Ended up slightly down but still up for the trip. [IMG]
