@K-9treatbaker , The Plaza Luxe rooms will be floors 16 through 19 in the North Tower. We will have a few Suites on each floor, ADA rooms and (in my opinion) the BEST rooms in Downtown once they open up. The Plaza didn't just change out carpet and paint, these 4 floors were renovated all the way to the support pillars. Can't wait to share some pictures once they open up.

Hey, Gary, thank you so much for the information on the rooms.

I'm sure there are a lot of us, anxious to stay in them, not to mention to see them. They sound very very nice.

    Keep the updates coming.

You've got me even more excited for my stay in the Luxe rooms at the beginning of August! Will be aiming for Saturday August 3rd to meet up with Curtis, hope I'll get to see you there again too!

I won’t be doing a traditional trip report, but I do have a “schedule” of things I’ll be reporting on for sure. Plaza Luxe rooms (photos and a video walk through) included.

I didn't see them on the web site. Even though Gary has our reservation for us, I still wanted to check out the pics, if they are on the web site. How did I miss it. LOL

Go to book a room and you will see the option to change the room type to Luxe Room.

@PlazaPoker / @Fe'Adolphus - Out of curiosity, is the Amazon Echo hooked up to the hotel services in any way? Like, can I use it to request more towels, make a reservation at Oscar's, or order a coffee at Coffee Bar for be ready for me to pick up downstairs? Or does it just function as a regular Amazon Echo for "standard" functions like asking about the weather/sports scores/etc.?

I want to know this as well, regarding the Amazon Alexa. Will it turn off the lights, adjust the temp in the room, and play my favorite country radio station. LOL

This was a pretty interesting watch, Wynn did this back in 2018 I guess:

Side note to Curt and Gary, is it too much to ask to make all of the Luxe rooms look like the one in that video? ;)

any thoughts on how this room compares to a Premium King @ DTG? I've been considering finally staying at the Grand when I'm in town mid-Sept, but these Luxe rooms look great and the price is $25 cheaper.

The Plaza’s Luxe rooms don’t actually exist yet, so the earliest you’ll get insights will be in July.

The Luxe rooms will be brand new, so I am certain these rooms will out shine other rooms in downtown.

Saving $25.00 would do it for me. LOL

Here's what we know for sure so far:
    • Plaza 325 sq ft v DTG 450 sq ft
    • Plaza Floors 16-19 v DTG Random
    • Plaza 49" TV v DTG 46" TV
    • Plaza Coffee Maker v DTG No Coffee Maker
    • Plaza Fridge v DTG No Fridge
    • Plaza Alexa v DTG No Alexa
Other than that, the obvious would be that Plaza will be newer and less worn. I really did not like the light carpet they have in the DTG Premium Room either since it's so light and shows ALL stains.
