we want to have a decent breakfast before we drive out to Yosemite for some strenuous hiking. We will be going from the airport to SLS casino to pickup our rental and then downtown to golden gate to use some vouchers we have and then south out through vegas. Are there any places that have a good breakfast that are in the LVA book? I am thinking palms but really am not sure if that is our best bet. Will be eating around 10-1030 on a friday so not sure if any place would have lunch or brunch at that time.

Personally I’d hit up Ellis Island for the $6.99 steak and eggs special. Really don’t need a coupon at that price and serves till 11am I think.

Gold Coast has a 2/1 coupon and we have never had a bad breakfast buffet from them. They have an omelette station. Inexpensive as well.

+1. Any breakfast buffet that has a made-to-order omelette station is probably worth the price of admission. This is doubly true at the very low cost of the Gold Coast buffet, and triply true with a BOGO coupon.

I like Main Street Station for breakfast. Good selection, omelet station, a BOGO in the book, and you'll be downtown already.

I can't speak to the breakfast at Gold Coast, but I did have the lunch buffet on my last trip and thought it was lousy. As always, YMMV.

Since you will be picking up the car at SLS, Palace Station would be the most convenient. The buffet has been entirely upgraded with
lots of small plate dishes to sample plus the usual cooked to order eggs/omelets and a carving station with an excellent ham.

Another vote for Palace Station. I have been to all of the buffets mentioned here and consider Palace Station to be best of that bunch followed by Gold Coast.

A variety of fruit salads including kale & apple (far left) that were wonderful.

I get saving a buck or two, but I'm not really getting the upside on this routing unless that rental at SLS is free. Why not rent at the airport, get going and get several hours start on the journey?

I am seeing a discount of $90 getting my car from there instead of the airport. I am renting for 10 days and have a price of $265 locked in

That's great. I'm really just trying to understand the jaunting around for a coupon meal if your goal is to get to Yosemite and at best case it's a seven-plus hour drive away.

It is a long drive, our first day our flight gets in at 8am and we want to use our $100 free play from flying allegiant at golden gate. We will not be doing any hiking that day just driving to our first campsite which is 7 hours away. I figure we can get car by 9. Be done gambling by 10. Eat and on the road by 11 although i am sure my gf would be fine just getting on the road :p

No doubt - Palace Station. A person can actually eat healthy there.

Note, the Gold Coast buffet breakfast closes at 10am, so you have to be in by about 9:30 or 9:45am. Trust me on this one, we often stay there and eat their breakfast buffet.

    Mr. Mamas on S. Jones.

Just really solid breakfast at a reasonable price, place is always packed and for good reason. You know its good when they have 4.5 stars on yelp with over 3000 reviews, the people have spoken!
