    My Trip Report

I had 12 days of the best VP in my 36 years of going to Vegas. Tax season was over and time for a break! (But the job explains my non-creative writing habits - hope you like VP porn!)

Left KC at 6:05 on Sunday May 5th on Southwest, arriving shortly after 7:00 Vegas time. I was beginning on my Seven Star trip so a limo driver was waiting to grab bags and go. Arrived at the Flamingo & checked bag, knowing the Diamond check in didn't open until 8:00, we grabbed eggs & French toast at Carlos & Charlies (sitting outside was nice). Then we went back to check in, the room was ready, called up bags and headed for the casino. Picked up the $900 freeplay for the airfare ($11.20 point costs) and NEVER had to get into my envelopes the entire trip. Fully loaded for December!

During the 4 days at Flamingo we saw Donny & Marie (completely sold out) and Love over at the Mirage (still love this show, mostly because of the music). We ate a couple dinners at CUT - fantastic, and breakfast at Carlos & Charlies and one late morning at Margaritaville (nothing wrong with Key Lime pie at 11:00 in the morning!)

VP hits from the Flamingo and meals (when I remembered)

Thursday morning we woke up & moved down to the Golden Nugget for 3 days, the room was ready in the Gold Tower, overlooking the pool.

The sad note was all the regular multi-play VP machines were gone:(. They have many of the Ultimate X & Super Times Pay versions, it's just not my thing. Good news was my favorite Double Wild Cherry & Triple Diamond machines are still there!

Headed on down to the D for breakfast at the Grille & the freeplay then got on the Ultimate Texas Hold Em table game. Love the morning dealers & floors until the music starts getting too loud around 11-12:00. That's the normal, early morns at the D, then wander thru the Fremont & Four Queens on the way back to the GN.

Thursday night had dinner at Vic & Anthonys. The special menu was gone but offered a $79 filet & scampi style lobster tail with roasted fingerling potatoes & carrots - excellent meal (but I forgot to take pictures - we get to talking, sorry)

Friday afternoon we had a late lunch at the Chart House (best coconut shrimp) followed by third row tickets (comped) for The Association (group that began in the 60s). Great, rocking performance, singing all their hits and story telling. Fun evening - I love my music!

Ultimate & Crazy 4 both played pretty even over the 3 days but my favorite slots at the Nugget were just as good as the VP was at Flamingo - what a ride each day.

    Sweet!!

When I stay downtown, I play VP until my brain gets a little foggy, then switch to Double Diamond.

    Exciting photos!

Sunday morning we moved to the final hotel - Ballys & checked bags. Went over to MAG for breakfast (yum, yum) then went to work on my favorite VP machine in front of GR Steak.

Kicked it's butt again Sonya! You have to try the opposite side facing the sign next trip. Got 2 natural Royals over the 4 days with LOTS of other great hits.

Room was ready about 1:00, went back and settled in & watched the movie Cold Pursuit. Had to warm up to it, but was OK (My choice next time!)

Wandered down to the Linq promenade then saw the Bronx Wanderers (again) love the music.

Monday breakfast at Cafe lle St Louis - love the blueberry pancakes. More damage to my machine, then back to Ballys. Met the kids at BLT for dinner - excellent!

Tuesday used the Ballys freeplay, then wandered over to Bellagio & CP & Cromwell just enjoying the warmer weather.

Wednesday, breakfast at MAG, the 2nd Royal on my machine, then over to PH to play Ultimate for a while. Had to pick up some warm cookies at Nestles on the way back to Ballys! Back to the room and watched Bohemium Rhapsody (saw it in KC but loved the music). Went to an early show of Paranormal then down to BLT bar for a lighter meal, yea right but at least we split it!

Thursday - flight was scheduled at 8:45 PM so my host had extended till 6:00 check out (love her) with limo pickup at 6:30. Rode the monorail (My Vegas) down to the MGM then back to Harrahs. Played Ultimate for a while then head back to Ballys and played there for awhile.

Limo was on time but just after checking bags at McCarran received the Southwest notice that the flight was delayed 1 hour coming from Sacramento. OK - 1 hour, not bad. In summary, more delays for wind, then storms over California, then a medical emergency return to Sacramento once they finally got in the air. Arrived at McCarran around 11:15 but then a new flight crew had to be called in because they were over their hours. Left around 12:15 AM, arrived KC around 4:30 and got home at 6:00AM. Too old for those 22 hour days.....

Yes a great time, good food & shows & actually came home almost $300 up after that much playing:woohoo:

Thank you and good luck to all!

    Ann

I wondered if you had made the trip as no report was spotted until now. I do recognize those machine selections and have witnessed a smidgen of such feats. Congrats on the recycling of envelopes in this case.
Good things DO happen to good people (sometimes). :)

Love the Golden Nugget and their food. Your win on the Blazing 7 sure caught my eye. Nice win!

That's the side I usually play. I thought I had to play the opposite side to win. Maybe I'll have to bounce back and forth next time and see if that helps me get the Royal. :) Nice trip. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry about the travel snafus. That sounds kind of awful.

I LOVE Joker Poker - but only the Kings or Better version. I actively search it out looking for a machine to play. I would guess over 1/2 my natural Royals have been on JP but probably because that is my favorite choice.

Thanks Tring! You know it takes LOTS of practice:) You've peaked my interest, I've only seen Kings or better, Aces or better, and 2 Pair or better versions. What's is AC Joker?

The 2 pair version where a quint pays 4000 coins.
