Did the South Point viewing party last year with a friend and my wife, Thursday through Sunday (college basketball is my favorite sport). Great party, and free! Cheap eats (like $1 hot dogs and soft pretzels), $3 beers, betting stations, and swag. By Sunday attendance was maybe only 25% of the first two days. The Budweiser beer girls were wandering around pretty much forcing swag on people. We ended up with a half dozen "Dilly Dilly" t-shirts. They were like "Take another t-shirt or I'll make you eat it." The Captain Morgan Rum girls were passing out free shots like it was Cancun at spring break. But because the party is free, it is popular. No reservations taken, so people began lining up in the middle of the night Thursday.

We're doing it next month, so I hope it's as well run. My wife's not quite as enthusiastic. Last year there was a big roping event going on too, but not this year. She spent a lot of time there admiring the cowboys while my buddy and I were at the viewing party making (generally bad) bets.

We’ve done watch parties before but are planning to wing it this year. Staying at PH Tue-Sat. Will be at the MM Eve party on Wednesday night.

Wondering if there are any benefits for CET Diamond members (not the viewing party offer). For example, any sports bars with preferred diamond seating? Or any of the CET books have less traffic even though I know it will be busy. Wondering about Paris or Bally’s?

Ordinarily I’d say yes. First week of March Madness...forget about it! I know some 7 stars who couldn’t get a seat for free. Years ago, the manager of the Paris Sportsbook looked out for 3 of us ( all diamonds) but it was a Saturday. I’ve been doing the CET Hoops on the Strip parties the past 6/7 years. It’s peace of mind ( you know you food, drink and seat is guaranteed) plus as a Diamond I get 2 wrist bands comped. You should have too!

Thanks for the reply. That’s kind of what I was figuring. We weren’t sure how many were going so opted for a free play offer instead. Doing Blondies Thursday AM but trying to figure out other options rest of time. I’m sure we will hit some Diamond lounges but doubt it for watching games. PH is the only one I could imagine for that.

I'm from Columbus, Oh, so I am a big Buckeyes fan. The way they are playing I doubt they even make the tournament. I go to Vegas two to three times a year, but this is the first time I will be there for March Madness!! :drunk:I will be downtown from the 20th to the 26th. I imagine that I'm going to go to the Plaza viewing party. I don't really know what viewing party downtown is the best.

Will anything be going on week of March 24, or is the tourney too far along at that point?

Huge SYRACUSE fan. I love MM and will be arriving Wed 20th and flying out late Saturday night and Staying at Bally's. This year we are doing Ellis Island viewing party on Thursday and then heading downtown for friday. Not sure where to go friday but sounds like Plaza might be the place to go if its free. I know i will be hitting up the D to play some Sigma Derby.

This will be my 3rd year attending MM. I did viewing parties previous years - Hard Rock Cafe aycd and Clique min spend. But just can't see the value in any with the price increases. So this year no viewing parties. Will use the Will Hill app for betting and plan to be up early and hopefully find a VP chair with a decent view. Staying at the LINQ so hoping the new sportsbar VP bar will be first come. Also will try O'sheas since they have VP and gaming tables and a fun atmosphere. I wish now I had booked Sweet 16 instead and prob will next year. The prices for viewing parties is out of control. But I can't wait, it really is a great time to be in Vegas and my team is looking pretty good... Go Houston!!

Plaza viewing parties are free if you are a member of MMILV Facebook group. Otherwise they are charging $15/day or $40 for all 4 days (got an email from Plaza yesterday).

If you'll be downtown for the Syracuse game (assuming they make it in) PM me sometime after the announcement if you'd like to meet up for it.

Hers a list of “Some” viewing parties of which at least 5 are free. The list doesn’t include Green Valley Rach party ( free shuttle from Mandalay Bay) and the Orleans ( free shuttle from Linq). http://lasvegasthenandnow.com/vegas-march-madness-watch-parties/

Just rebooked my flight one day early thanks to Southwest's free flight change policy due the Max 8 situation. Have enough Binion's hats to cover almost all the cost of 1 night at the Four Queens, so for ten bucks plus tax I have an extra night in Vegas! See yas Tuesday!

We should be there now but Southwest canceled our Saturday flight due to the plane groundings. So we're rebooked for tomorrow. Hopefully that one's a go - no cancellation notice yet anyway. Got a condo at the Grandview and will be doing the viewing party at South Point. It was great last year. Can't wait, and looking forward to seeing the brackets come out today!
