Does anyone book multiple rooms that include a room/rooms for friends or family?

    How does this typically work?

I have family coming on the next trip and they want their own room. Am I allowed to book for them? Does everything have to stay on my credit card since I would make the reservation with it? I know it's hard to change the card at the desk once a deposit is put on a specific card.

IMHO, it depends on whether you are getting a comp room.

If it were me, I'd contact my host and see about getting a second room at a "casino rate".

If you are not getting anything comped, then you would check at the front desk for any particulars. AFAIK, you can reserve in your name and CC, and change it at check-in.

Its actually pretty easy. Just tell them you want to put the rest of the room on a different card and have your family member there with there card.

As for the deposit amount, work that out with your family member ahead of time.

Also, if you aren't getting any kind of discount on the room, just have your family member book their own room.

Sounds like the bottom line to me. I don't quite see the motivation to do the leg work for something without a discount / comp. Would you necessarily be getting a better rate
for two rooms as opposed to one?

I would book a promo rate on my MLife or Caesar's Rewards. There may or may not be a comp deal. I'm not a heavy gambler, but I do enjoy some good promos from time-to-time. It's definitely cheaper to book using my MLife CC. If you can change cards at the desk, I can just do that for them.

With Wynncore it's weird, I can't get a generous casino rate through my host. Rather, I have to lead people to the website where they can take advantage of the promotions going on right now. That said, I am able to forward my "offer" email to friends and family. In doing so, I can get them an even better rate than what's online. On a 3-night trip, I saved my friends $200 on a memorial day weekend prices. So, I guess what I'm saying is that it depends on the property.

I have booked Aria as a comp for myself and booked Vdara for friends. I met them at checkin and added their names to the room but kept the room under my card to get the free valet and just in case they wouldn’t remove the discount.

Yep.. first see if you can get a discount or comp.

At checkin, it is easy for them to put THEIR card on the account. No problem at all.

Deposit when booking? Why not just put it on your card.. no big deal.
