Agree 100% -- the fact that they comp you even if you won makes it a great proposition. I mean the comps is only to encourage you to continue playing at that specific casino. This is why they always say don't play for comps, play what you feel comfortable losing. Worst case, your play warrants discounted pricing at hotels.

The only thing that bugs me about this whole thing is this: If you have a host and he sees you are in Vegas and just do a quick drop in, why is he not calling you to find out where you're staying and why it's not with him. That to me seems like a business opportunity missed in that the host knows you're staying somewhere and giving those numbers to someone else so why not at least try to find out why.

Yea, that's what I don't get either. And, in my case, I've had much better luck (all around) at the Wynn than V/P. Sure V/P is a livelier property, but the Wynn gives me the same comps I got at V/P (except for the limo and F&B) for less coin-in ($5k per day + 2 hours of table play at $40/hand)

So here's my question... If I have a comp'd the night stay at Planet Hollywood, will all three days go against my average or can I still try to have the system by focusing my gambling all on one day during that trip and focusing on other tourist activities the rest of the time?

Let me know if this question makes sense or not.

I recently had a three night stay at PH and I reserved it for my brother while I took an mlife room for myself. I had them print a card for me inside but only really gambled at MGM, never at the PH... Now all my comp rates for CET are gone for almost all weekends.

Was it the printing of the loyalty card that crashed my average or did the three night stay counted against it?

The three night stay counted against it. If you are checked in to a hotel on an offer. All night are tracked. You "no played" them for three days, effectively ruining (by substantially lowering) your ADT rating with CET. Depending on where you were, it may take some time before you work your way back into their good graces. A couple of "no play days" can typically be explained away, but CET knows what you did. You're not the first person who ever did that.

    As an example:

Over the last 10 gambling days with CET you averaged $5,000 coin in (using slots as an example).

Your ADT for that 10 days was $5000. Add three no play days to that number and for the last 10 days, your ADT drops to $3500. You would need to gamble the next 6 days at 7500 to bring your ADT back to where it was.

Note that this is all based on the assumption that CET tracks a 10 day running average.

Yeah there's no such thing as a NULL day if you are staying at the hotel. If you don't play, the day counts in the average and you get a zero for the play.

The good news if there is any really, is that it will only take one trip at your normal level to get your calendar availability back at PH.

Expensive mistake though. Although you might still be able to find some comp nights at the lower end of CET.

Ok good questions and answers, if I can ask one more. If I'm on a comp room at one CET property, does my play need to be at that particular hotel to keep future comps? If I stay at Planet Hollywood, and spend two hours on the slots there at $1.50 a spin, then move over to Paris for two hours, then up to Harrahs for two hours, does that all count together as one day?

Effectively, he's paying back the free room he took by booking again at regular rack rate. What's great about other properties (non CET) is that if you have a host and explain the situation, they'd be willing to comp your room back if you've played back at your normal levels. AND you still get to keep the RCs you earned during your trip. And, that's another thing. The earning rate at CET sucks lol

Yeah that's fine within CET, MLife, V/P and Wynn/Encore, play at any of the properties they own, it all counts.

That's the one BIG plus with CET. You can spread your play around. In fact, they encourage it...

OK, one minor caveat to that. You must gamble in the same locale for it to count towards your "area" ADT. Laughlin and Reno/Tahoe are not in the same "area" as Las Vegas.

People might say "well, of course not", but I thought that Laughlin and Las Vegas might be. My Las Vegas host assured me that they weren't.

    Maybe.

Remember, hosts have hundreds/thousands? of folks carded to them. They can not keep track of every player especially if not a big player. Based on the offer in the first post - a fair size player, but not real big either. Maybe the host was off that day. Maybe he was busy. Maybe he did see the play and thought to himself - "damn slacker... not gonna waste my time on him.." Also, the host has no idea if you are playing anywhere else. He just sees your numbers. At what point is a concern to him vs you are just getting going. And, he does not know if you are in his hotel, another casino hotel, or a friends house. Way too many variables.

Are you sure??? So I was never a TR member but signed up on a San Deigo trip when i visited the So Cal Harrah's. That one day of gambling gave me comp room rates throughout all the other properties which is how i booked my NYE vegas trip

I also have a question about the ADT resetting if possible... So i went to that NYE trip and booked PH. I had no play as i just gave the room for my brother while i used my mlife comp... Will those three nights of no play always count against me in the average? Or if i lay low a little bit eventually it will reset back to 0 and i can start fresh... It will be hard for me to "catch up" just to receive comps. I'm wondering if i should just see CET as a lost cause and start with another property like V/P or Wynncore

I just realized that we neglected the fact that 9% of your Theoretical Win is given back to you in the form of Slot credits. So there's even more value! Effectively, you're getting nearly half of your Theo back in either comps or slot credits (at the Gold Level)...higher at Platinum. I wouldn't doubt that their Theo is lower than their hold...

Eventually, it will "push out" I don't know what the exact number of play days or time is. If you were on a "teaser offer, it could be different. I am not a CET host, and I don't know your exact situation, I am giving you general information.

It all depends on your level and where you are on your host's pecking order.

I'm 7* and coded to Asian Marketing so the "rules" are a little bit different. I go out of my way to see my host every trip. I also bring a gift for my host(s) every trip. People ask me "why?" Well, I've received a LOT of unsolicited gifts this year. Is it because of the gifts? No way to be sure, but I'm guessing based on responses from this board that it's YES.

It is my experience that Asian Marketing hosts always make it a point to visit their clients once a trip. Note that the play requirements are significantly higher to be coded to Asian Marketing.

Yeah, V/P is funny that way. I never saw my host at V/P in the years that I played there though. At CET and mLife never had any problem.

It is well known that the a first timer may get better offers than regulars. They hope you have gotten the disease and will come back.

Once you have been a few times, they track and figure you out.
