NOBU was pretty awesome. This isn't the kind of place we would normally eat out but we had the voucher and have been wanting to do it for two years so we finally did.
We got Lobster Tacos, Shrimp and Veggie Tempura and a yellowtail sushi roll and the house special roll.
It was the perfect amount of food and we didn't go over our price limit. It was also really delicious. I had made a joke that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and Safeway sushi and boy was I wrong. :feedme::woot:
We are currently back up in the room changing out of our fancy duds and getting ready for the walk to Bally's to see Wayne Newton.
    Pics of food to follow.

What time of day was it when you had the whole FS to yourselves? I love it when it’s like that....it’s so quiet and serene! I’m envious already!

It was around four in the morning on Friday night/Saturday morning. We love to do that because there are no crowds and it seems like how it was when we first started going there almost 20 years ago. :)

I know, we were bummed. The funny thing was that both my husband and I checked the website separately to make sure they were open 24/7. We might be able to fit it in later in the trip, but doubtful since we only have two more days before we leave. Oh well, there is always next year.

Wayne Newton was amazing. He owns the stage and his audience and it would have been worth the ticket price even if we had paid for it. The audience size is small and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Even as two people that weren't that familiar with his work, other than being a Vegas legend, we really enjoyed and appreciated the show.
Having said that, it goes a tad too long. He comes out like gangbusters with the jokes and songs and then after about an hour and fifteen minutes it kind of starts dragging. There is more talking than singing, and we were okay with that because he is charismatic as hell, but it after the hour and a half mark we were shifting in our seats a bit.
Totally worth it though and major Wayne fans probably wouldn't feel this way.
We walked back to the hotel and got some Pizza from the food court that we have yet to dig into. I played 20 bucks through a VP machine to get drinks while I waited for the pizza but got no major hits.
Now I'm in my jammies and about to bust into the pizza.
Tomorrow we had plans to run our RC cars at an outside track here in Vegas, but it looks like they are predicting rain. :( Either way, we will be meeting up with a school friend of Rob's around five at Sunset Station for ice cream. I think after that there is a bath in the jetted tub in our room in order.
Pics of the show to follow.

Glad you enjoyed Wayne! Bummer about Peppermill, but that's a great story about the snack bar. But now I wonder, did you two actually meet in Vegas? or did he go on a Vegas trip with you and your family before you ever kissed?

Heh, we met in Vegas. I was on vacation from Maine with my mom and he was on vacation from Arizona with a buddy of his.
We got married in Vegas a year to the date that we met there.

Thanks @casinokid68 and yeah, we won't be doing the 3 hotel thing again. We weren't going to do it this time, but we saw the myvegas comp for the Bellagio and changed our mind. I'm glad we stayed there, but we don't feel the need to do it again.

Thanks @Astribling It's kind of a cool story to tell. What happened in Vegas didn't stay in Vegas for once.:woohoo:

Glad you enjoyed the pics @MikeOPensacola the man puts on a great show. And thanks!! :wiggle:

Woke up around noon today and we got ready to head out. Drove to the Silver Bowl RC Park in Henderson to run our little remote control cars. Rob is far more into this hobby than I am, but it was nice to see him so happy to run his car on a REAL track. He and his work buddies have built their own track out back of where they work and while it is nice, it is very small. He really enjoyed using such a large and well made track.

Once we were done we motored over to Sunset Station to meet up with a friend of Rob's from Jr High. They literally hadn't seen each other since 1983 but have kept in touch on Facebook. She had moved to Vegas about 6 months ago so the timing worked out. We met her at the Baskin Robbins and we had a lovely two hour chat over ice cream.
The best part however, was when I won a hundred bucks on a buffalo machine while waiting for her to arrive.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped at a local taco shop to get some cheap and comforting food for dinner.
Tonight, we have zero plans. I doubt we will venture outside of the room as we have to get up early tomorrow for a breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi and the jetted soaking tub here in the room is calling my name.
Oh, and here is a bonus snapchat photo I posted earlier...

Yup, typo I didn't notice until just now. :rolleyes2::evillaugh:

Some pics of the fountains from our room. We are a pretty low floor, but we can see SOME of the spray.

Sounds like you're having the time of your lives. Wonderful! During the Wayne Newton concert, did he invite guests to his mansion? Hand out any locks of hair? Ask you to sing with him, ala Ellen Griswald?

Love it! I find those big wins via small bets on old machines to be the best! Great report, although I'm semi-horrified about the Peppermill business. What if I need a blue Hawaii at 3:30 am near a fire pit and they are closed!?! I hope it's not a regular thing, this closing stuff!
