Definitely in the 90’s especially before Harrahs bought Harvey’s, Caesars was still there, Bills was still open and even Horizon was ok.

We used to walk to Lakeside Inn for $1 drinks at Happy Hour then hit ALL of the casinos. A lot of fun back then!

Its like they have terrible gambling rules because of the fact that its Tahoe and its an outdoors destination.

I'm just speaking of the higher minimums and non-existent 3:2 blackjack. Not sure what they had on video poker. In comparison to what's available in Reno, the conditions are worse.

Oh I thought they had 3:2 bj but it was H17, but that was about two years ago when I last played. Of course they have craps (which is pretty much standard at all casinos) and good VP. I love their food options, they have decent entertainment and comps are decent. I guess I’m on team Tahoe.

Unfortunately, it’s a total pain to get there - even if you aren’t affected by the snow.

Its been a while since i've been, but i love it too. I just wouldn't go for a pure gambling trip. It is beautiful, and to throw gambling in with that setting, it is a great place. I just think that the setting allows them to get away with more Vegas strip type of rules.

we went skiing this past weekend and i played $25 3:2 Single Deck pitch BJ (H17) at Harrah's...the same table i always play when we go, which is every other weekend in ski season.
It's true that table will go up to $50 on weekend evenings, but it's also true that they have a 2-deck pitch 3:2 and an 8 deck CSM 3:2, with 2 extra CSM 3:2 open only on weekend nights. The rest of the room is 6:5.

Plenty of options, but if you want 3:2 (S17), you have to go to Cache Creek

I just bet sports, play some Pai Gow and UTH, have a few drinks and enjoy the Vegas atmosphere. And I get 5 nights comped at Planet Hollywood. Yes, I pay the resort fees, but when I stay 7 nights and pay only $400 bucks for a hotel in the center of the Strip, I think it's a great deal. It seems that some people play at Cosmo, just to earn the fountain view rooms. For the amount of money that Cosmo wants you to gamble, I'm fine with PHO, Bally's or Paris. I can walk outside and see the fountains if I want to. Don't get me wrong, Cosmo, Wynn, Venetian, etc. are beautiful properties, but the money necessary to gamble there just to get a free room is just not worth it, in my opinion.
