I always do 4-5 nights. Hopefully I don't go bust, but if I do, I'm like Timspeed, I always have money available. No need for an intervention.

If you’re not having a good time, maybe it’s a good idea to step back. Years ago I used to go to AC frequently. But I got tired of losing every single time. I haven’t come back from AC with more them I left with since 2001. I haven’t stepped foot in AC since 2015. I go to Vegas once or twice a year to scratch the gambling itch. It doesn’t even matter if you have money to burn, if you’re not having a good time, regardless of wins and losses what’s to point?

That reminds me of a joke from addicted gamblers, I don’t have a gambling problem, I have a cash flow problem. It’s really quite sad however. But in your individual situation, as long as your bills are paid, and it’s still fun, more power to you.

From what I've read Tim has a good time.

I don’t think I “gamble for peanuts” and get free rooms (have to pay resort fee) all the time.

My next two overnight trips Dec 22-24 @ Mandalay Bay and Feb 7-10 at Excalibur are comped and both are weekends (Sat Sun & Thurs Fri Sat).

But if you have to pay the resort fee, it's not really free then. [emoji14]

But the amount you would have to play to get that dumb fee taken off definitely should cost you more than $40 a night too.

At this moment Tim is playing a lot more than what's required to get a free room at Cosmo and a lot, lot more than is required at CET. This is fine if he can afford it and he's enjoying himself, but I feel like a good amount of "tilt" is coming out of his recent live TRs. Of course, no one wants to really deal with a poor run of luck.

True statement about “free”. I think paying ~$120 for three nights (Thurs Fri Sat) in Vegas is very fair considering my bankroll

I guess I am comfortable with my situation as everyone should be with gambling and $$$ management in my opinion.

I think Tim enjoys Cosmo, so that's what he's saying as far as paying for rooms. I'm in your camp, i'm happy with offers for NYNY, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay etc.. but if i got a taste of staying at Cosmo, i may be inclined to stick with those rooms (and views).

All in all, i still give a lot of credit to Tim for posting live as he does. And also showing both sides of the gambling coin. It can't be easy to do.

Hey, Live is LIVE...if I’m not winning, I’m gonna write about it haha.
The only thing that mildly upsets me, is my comps at Cosmo never got any better...and I literally went six trips dumping the full LOC.
At $250k coin-in...i could have made 7* at CET...and for that they send hookers to your room.

Well, a lot of advice has been dished here but ultimately if Tim can afford to keep going back and enjoys Vegas, then I say go for it.

I’m also a loser the majority of the time when I go. I still do go- and am going Friday after 10 months lol- but just a bit less now and while losing sucks, I still have a boat load of fun. While this trip may have not been fun, as long as in the aggregate you’re having a good time and can still pay your bills, etc., I don’t see the issue. We’re all adults here and can make our own decisions.

    Hi Tim:

I don't want to ask anything personal, but what is there to "HATE" about Tahoe? Personally, we really like it there as there are summer as well as winter things to do -- plus at night we play the best video poker in the CET empire.

I'm curious too. We love Tahoe! If it wasn't such a long day of travel for us from NY, we would alternate Tahoe with Vegas every other year.

In that case I need to start playing more at CET.

That Terrace studio suite over looking the fountains on weekends isn't cheap! Its going to cost you in the comp department, and the little food you get as well. If your LOC is around $5k then your getting a fair shake from cosmo and your host. Cosmo is no CET. ;)

The casinos are crummy; we hate snow and we're not "outdoorsy"...aside from Casinos and Skiing/Outdoor activities...what is left to do in Tahoe?
Plus the crowds are super annoying (People with more money than brains)

I really enjoyed your report and how you talk about your trip. I can feel your excitement..

I have taken a 6 month break from the casino...I lost $20,000 last year playing bj..spreading $25-$200.....the math of the game wasn't swinging my way.... session after session losing on my 20's and pushing on my BJ's was very very very tough to handle....I was at the end of my rope. These casino owners and employees I was around didn't give a shit about me or my losing.....

I just finally said fuck this, I gotta stop losing my $$$....so I set a financial goal...it has taken me 6 months to reach it....and now that I reached it, I can't fucking wait to get back on the horse.....because the casino is what makes me excited about life. I don't ever wanna stop going.....
And when the math does turn in my favor I'm going to fucking hammer these mother fuckers till they kick me out....but these 6 months without any bj haven't killed me. And I'm mentally better for taking this break.

I wish you the best, and thank you for taking me along on your trip.
