Friend who is coming out to join us this trip is staying at SLS (clean renovated and cheap. His requirements)

Worth stopping in for any gambling? VP/ table games? What kind of limits/pay tables to expect on a Friday evening ?

Bazaar Meats always intrigued me. Is it worth trying? We will be coming from downtown so it would have to beat Therapy or LeThai(If it ever opens) or Carson Kitchen or one of many other DT options.

    Thoughts from the “gallery”?

Watch the Andrew Zimmern segment on the restaurant. It's on his "Las Vegas" episode of the Zimmern list. He also visits Chubby Cattle a hot pot restaurant that I've eaten at.

Cleo is wonderful! They also have a good social hour menu.

Bazaar Meat is very expensive but great -- the best meat house in Las Vegas, or just about anywhere. I say "meat house" instead of "steak house" because it serves great steaks, but also many other meats -- and seafood and vegetables, for that matter. Some of the things that stand out in my memory: tortilla sacromonte (egg omelet with kidney, sweetbreads, and bone marrow); grade 5 true Kobe beef, as well as grade 5 wagyu from another prefecture; foieffle (air waffle, foie foam, peanut butter, honey); Catalan spinach (with apple and pine nuts); fresh sea urchin.

I haven't gambled there in a long time, but they used to have craps with 10x odds. My vague memory is that VP pay tables were decent, but that could have changed.

Sounds interesting. Afraid Dad won’t dig the odd “cuts”; me on the other hand would give it a go

I love SLS but the only place I have eaten there was Northside Cafe, which is kind of a mashup of Asian joint and legacy casino coffee shop.

I get along fine with their slot selection but don't go out of your way for it.

Bazaar Meat is fabulous - amazing food, and they have a daily happy hour (check the Bar Centro menu on their website), great way to try many things without breaking the bank. They also have tasting menus and daily specials. I'm sure your dad could find something if he's a steak & potatoes kinda guy.

Man, now I'm hungry. Might have to plan a trip to Bazaar on my next trip!

It's 7/5 Super Aces Bonus (98.85%), btw. Strategy is very similar to DDB. The bar near Unami Burger also had Joseph James Citra Rye on tap. Yum!

Kaleo? I wanna say that's the name. Other people here have mentioned him. I never went to TAG early enough to have him as my bartender. Lol

Yep. That’s him. He and Brad from Michigan were the two that I met the most. I only went once per trip usually except the year I stayed at Linq. Then I played there constantly. But I had a couple all morning/afternoon runs a couple trips.

    Both of them great guys.

My friend goes there for business. So to him this is cheap. He knows not what we do nor does he have the same goals. IWIS.
