My Vegas is through MGM so GG wouldn't be part of that. Not sure where that came from. IveI never stayed in a room long enough to care about the view. Sounds like the price was right.

To that end... my favorite view ever is from the Big Kahuna suites at the RIO. My fav room in all of Vegas ( except for the ridiculous Caesars Villas )

I believe I stayed in that room!
They gave me an inside because they warned me it could get loud on the Freemont street side.
I believe in that room the 2nd bed was in its own private Den? :D

It was fine room for a basic gambler. The bathroom was kind of tight, and took a long time to get the shower water temperature to change, so if I was with anyone who wasn't a basic gambler, I might pay for a room somewhere else before taking this one for free.

If you take the hotel's free parking, yes its a short walk with a lot of homeless people sitting on the sidewalks. They will leave you alone, but it can be uncomfortable. However they do have the fastest valet parking for downtown. Just tip them a couple dollars and pretend you are big time!

I may be late to the game here, but I did not see anyone else answer this. Just take the easiest math for slots. 90% return (10% hold) You would need to run $6,000 of coin through the machines (that 10% hold for the house) to get to the $600 of theo.

And for anyone that is new to this stuff, Theo is short for theoretical loss. Not actual loss. You could put 6 $100 bills into a $100 slot machine and lose each spin. You only got $600 of coin, and even though you lost $600, your theo would be $60 bucks a day based on $600 of coin in. Flip that, you could win money if you are lucky and you will still have a Theoretical loss assigned to you, even though you won. That is why it is theo and not actual.

For those of you that stay at GG, what are the comps like for "better" players? I assume they do not have many fancy suites to throw out. I understand they comp some outside dining (not that you could eat inside). They cant throw you any show tickets into an offer. Do they just deal out an asshole amount of Free Play to get you to come back?

If I run $40K through the slots at Cosmo over 3 nights that is $4K in theo per trip. If they return a third of theo back as standard for comps, that is just over $1300 in value to give me. I get my wraparound terrace suite comped for 3 days ($300 value each night) along with $400 in Free Play and a $100 dining credit.

What would that look like for the Golden Gate? I see the GG suite is $75 per night. That leaves over $1K in my comp bucket. Are we looking at $750 in Free Play and $250 in offsite dining credits? Anyone know?

No doubt, but I was hoping for live feedback from players that stayed there that are drawing actual corporate offers from the joint. But Tim can chime in as well!

Second this. I would never stay at golden gate with a guest. It is hard enough to move around in the regular room alone.

I get room offers there all the time, took an up once but not again unless I can get a suite.

Love to play there too, but it is only drop on play at this point.

There's also two penthouse suites, but I have no idea what kind of play is expected for those.

Nice! One for me and one for @wanker751 Hopefully they are side by side so we can carve a glory hole between the two. You know, to pass notes and such.

You could also pass wieners through the hole. You know, hot dogs for the grill. Just bring your own buns, they won't fit in the hole.

ADT isn't (loss) its risk.. that is why i cant really give you a good number of if you do X that = Y. If you are a penny slot player ( high risk `34% casino advantage ) you could get there max betting after about 2.5 hours approximately. If your a video poker player .. maybe 8k for like 6 hours .. BJ player .. 5k .. 6 hours etc etc.. These are broad generalizations as risk, bet amount and time are all variable factors and are intermingled in the ADT equation. I am not incentivised by loss i am incentivised by risk over time.

Oh and the 600 ADT was for suite comp consideration.

If i have room and its a non push date ( no 4th of july, NYE etc.. )

I would pretty much comp anyone a regular room.. but they indeed are going to be small and quite variable. I opened 30 random rooms when i first got here and they were all very different via layout etc..

Mind you if you put up no play at all for the regular room i would raise my eyebrow and be disappointed in me and you.
