If you mean the Erotic Heritage Museum, that is catercorner to FSM. IIAC, the dope shop is a bit further.

It's a dope shop! You shop there and you buy dope.

I disagree. It's a state licensed dispensary and you go there to buy recreational or medical marijuana.

I do sort of wish people here would stop using "dope" and "weed". It doesn't help with the rebranding. :)

The Old-School Stigma is hard to break even for those who are pleased with the new concept.

I get the same way when people refer to Quadcopters as "Drones".

Heh, quoting myself. The walk from TI might be easy for a lot of people, but it was not for this 69 year old. I took Uber back and will use Uber in the future. It's only a few bucks. Unless of course, you really, really want to see The Erotic Museum.

It's worth seeing once. I would not make a special trip for it, but if you're in the area it's well worth it.

A friend went to the nuwu dispensary today. Short(?) walk from downtown and ginormous space with lots of information and no pressure for time or buying particular product. He was impressed.
Impressed enough I thought I would pass it on.

As to walking, I went to Releaf near Stratosphere and accidentally exited the bus one stop north. That area is apartments and empty fields and I didn’t care for the walk one bit. And then the classic “here’s your patented Vegas ziplock bag that screams you have hundreds of dollars and now we toss you out the security door onto the street.”

If you have hundreds of disposable $$$$$, what are you doing taking the bus? :)

Saving the money for other priorities? I *have* money to do lots of things. I *choose* to spend the money on the things I want and save on other things.

For that particular mission the bus was the obvious best solution. It left from where I was and went directly where I was going, then the return route was the same except one block over. Getting off at the wrong stop was on me, but I learned from it. And in my pie chart ‘recreational drugs’ has its own slice next to ‘disposable income’.

Nuwu is great. I would not walk there from Fremont, and I am a large dude who walks fast with his head on a swivel.

We all (maybe) did dumb stuff when we were too young or inexperienced to realize the danger. Here’s what my friend relayed to me about being old and dumb.
There was a police unit with two guys talking to a lady on the sidewalk. About 1/3 or the way there. I asked the policeman closest to me and seemingly uninvolved a couple of questions and went on. Mostly furniture, plumbing, radiator shops along the way. Saw a few homeless but no interaction. I took a picture of the outside from quite a ways back on my way back. It said 12:42 pm. So I was gone from Fremont Street about an hour and ten minutes.
He seems like a normal guy to me but I’d never go there alone. And I’m a little guy.
